I'm not sure I've mentioned how much I LOVE Sweet Citrus! 😂
But just in case you missed my squeals of adoration, please know that I absolutely LOVE this stamp set and coordinating hybrid embossing folder (which includes dies!).
So I decided to play, once again.
This ACTUALLY started out as an experiment for the background (which you can hardly see). I wanted to try a fun baby-wipe technique. So I took two baby wipes, folded them up into a smallish, thick cylinder, and added some drops of re-inkers in Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight along one edge. Then I dragged the edge with the drops along a piece of Basic White cardstock, creating a yellow-toned rainbow effect.
If you look closely to the right of the ribbon, you'll see the background, and that it looks variegated under the embossing. It's really pretty, although I did cover up much of it with my citrus. 😕. But I have another piece, so I'll be making another card and I will show you more of the background.
And back to this card: Once I had the background, I stamped the oranges and lemons using the same colors as the background. They were cut and embossed (check out that fabulous texture from the embossing) which is done at the same time as the cutting! So cool!
It's a bright, fun card, and I still LOVE Sweet Citrus!
