Got Treats? Final "How To"

Thanks for joining me once again, as I give you the "how-to" of my last treat packaging idea.  Remember this post, and the ideas:
All week I've been describing my creations, and today is the final one--my homemade treat container:
This was my favorite project, and the one I had the most fun creating.  I started with a Stampin' UP! embellishment holder.  These sturdy plastic containers have tops that snap on tightly.  I started by covering the outside of the bottom with Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper, and also glued a skinny little strip around the top edge of the container.
I then took a 5" piece of Window Sheet and rolled it (I played a little with the length so that it would fit snugly in the base) and used a piece of Sticky Strip to create the clear cylinder.  This was then sticky-stripped to the inside of the bottom container.

Adding the top, I then tied it all up with gorgeous Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin Ribbon.  But it still needed something...
...a label of course!  Project Life Point and Click had this great word bubble (which matches perfectly with the Word Bubble Framelits); it was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I stamped the bat from Project Life Holiday Cheer and the sentiment from And Many More, and cut it out with the framelits.  A Crushed Curry 2" circle punch for the "moon" behind the tag, and it was "stood up" with a piece of Window Sheet:
Won't this be a great treat holder for the upcoming holiday?

What do you use to package your treats?  Won't you leave me a comment and let me know?

Got Treats? A Cute Gum Holder

When I was starting this post, I was trying to think of a good title...a cute gum holder?  Made me think of false teeth and something to keep your gums in!  Yowsa!  I must really be tired tonight!

So on to the project.   Over the weekend I participated in another Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop.  Here are my projects, and I have been posting the "how-to's" for the past few days.  You can see those ideas here and here.

Today I want to show you how to make the pack-o-gum holder:
This is a VERY simple way to dress up a pack of gum, using only a few supplies.  Starting with a strip of Bermuda Bay cardstock, measuring just a hair under 2" x 11", I punched one end with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  I then measured my pack of gum and ended up cutting off about 1/2" from the strip of cardstock; then I punched the other end with the same punch.

I used a pen to mark the edges of the gum pack onto the Bermuda Bay strip (on the inside), creating guides for scoring.  The strip was scored and I cut pieces of Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper to fit each section.

I tied Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to close it up (I did use some adhesive on the bottom of the gum pack so it didn't fall out), and added a little tag (stamped with the bat and the "boo" from Project Life Holiday Cheer, and punched with the 7/8" Scallop punch).

A strip of sequins from the September Paper Pumpkin kit adds some bling...and it's done!

How do you dress up your Halloween treats?

Another "Got Treats" Demonstration

Thanks for coming back for another round of my "Got Treats" packaging ideas.  My original post (here) showed a number of options for presenting your little goblins with their Halloween goodies:

Today we'll be taking an in-depth look at the cute little box on the right.

Once again, Stampin' UP! comes through with quick and easy ways to deliver your special gifts.  These Decorative Window Gift Boxes are a snap to put together and dress up.

I first stamped some little ghosts from the Project Life Holiday Cheer set in the corners and around the edges of the box.

Craft Whisper White Ink allows my ghost to be a subtle decoration and gave me the inspiration for my tag.
How cute is that little fella?  Cut with the Fun Fall Framelits dies and Bermuda Bay cardstock, all he needed was a sentiment (from  Holiday Home) and some googly eyes.  All tied up with White and Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim, this delightful box is ready for some little hands to pull it apart!

So there are the first two of my goodie-packaging ideas; in case you missed the Chevron Bag, take a look here.  And stop by tomorrow for a fun way to wrap up a pack of gum.
