"Sweet" Ice Cream

Sweet Ice Cream is a stamp set in a new suite of products, Ice Cream Corner.  And today I've got a set of mini cards that uses the stamps and punch, and would be a great little gift for a host or a friend.

This is a versatile set and can be used for many occasions, not just for birthdays.  Let's look at each card:

First a quick and easy card.  I cut a Thick Whisper White card base 3" x 6" and scored in the middle for a 3" x 3" card.  A scalloped layer (Layering Squares) of Mango Melody sets off the main panel with the cute ice cream cone (stamped with Mango Melody, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso) and punched with the coordinating Ice Cream Cone Builder punch.  Easy peasy and all ready to tuck into a lunchbox!

And what could be easier than a card based on patterned paper?  All I added was a Blackberry Bliss square, some Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon and a little banner stamped with Itty Bitty Greetings.

I liked the simplicity of the second card so much, I made another -- more patterned paper with a greeting stamped and punched with the Rectangle Postage Stamp punch.

And finally:

Just a little thank you - some patterned paper, a Stitched Shape circle, a Blackberry Bliss scalloped circle and a greeting stamped on Purple Posy cardstock.

These mini cards will fit in a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" Acetate box for a cute gift.

The Ice Cream Corner Suite will be available January 5th!

And don't forget:

The Giant Year-End Closeout on retiring products ends January 4th!  This is a great time to stock up and save on your favorite products from the retiring August - December Mini Catalog!

Birthday Shells

Just in case you haven't figured it out by now, let me (once again) introduce you to my favorite new suite of products, coming January 5.  This is the Sand & Sea suite, and it's absolutely gorgeous!

And despite the intricate look of this card, it was really quite easy, using all the new products from the suite. I started by cutting the new Pearlescent Paper with the large die from the Seaside Seashells dies.  Then I ran it through the Seashells embossing folder, for a simple but beautifully elegant look.

Can you see the embossed pattern on the white shells?  Looks like perfect white seashells!

This layer was adhered to the pink and yellow abstract pattern of one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper in the suite.  I used many Dimensionals to get it to pop off the paper.

Finally the greeting from Friends are like Seashells was stamped using Blushing Bride ink and a pretty shell and Opal Round embellishments added.

Just look at the luminescent quality of that embossed Pearlescent Paper!

Sand & Sea, coming soon...

Whiskey Business

Today is my husband's birthday.  Crummy day for a birthday, the day after Christmas.  It's often an overlooked day, with many of us heading to malls to return ugly Christmas sweaters, pants that don't fit, or that "perfect" Christmas gift that, um, just wasn't.

Of course, this year was different.  So I vowed to make his day special.

And then...life got in the way.  We had an opportunity to visit our grandkids in Northern California, whom we hadn't seen since July.  Due to a medical need, (not COVID) the entire family had been isolating for 2 weeks, and had tested negative, so we decided to take a trip to visit for Christmas.   And we planned to return home on December 26...Jim's birthday.  Which meant a 9-hour car ride...no special breakfast or dinner 😕

So I made him a card, took it with us on our trip, and gave it to him this morning.  Just a little cheer to let him know he hasn't been forgotten:

Jim likes Scotch Whiskey, so I thought this would be perfect.  The stamp set is Whiskey Business; the decanter and glasses were stamped and colored with Stampin' Blends, then fussy-cut and popped up on a background of some In Good Taste patterned paper.

I stamped the greeting and cut it with the Stitched Rectangles dies.

Simple card, but I hope he knows I have his back...and a glass of Scotch will be waiting when we get home tonight!

It's Christmas Eve and I want to wish all my friends, family and followers a very Merry Christmas!  I thought it might be fun to look back at some of the Christmas cards I have posted over the past few months.  So enjoy walking down Memory Lane, and thanks for visiting this year.
