Window Sheet Card

I recently saw a neat card made by an Australian demonstrator, Michele Miller, who used a Window Sheet for the front of her card.  I had to try it:

This is so pretty from the front, but wait:

Can you see the layers?

I started with a piece of Lovely Lipstick (on the retiring list 😲) that is 4-1/14" x 6-1/2", and scored at 5-1/2", so there is a 1" flap at the top.  To the back side of this flap, I attached a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Window Sheet.

I then took another piece of Lovely Lipstick, 4-1/4" x 2", scored it down the middle and folded it.  With the score line at the bottom, I added flowers (cut from the Sending Flowers die) in between, then adhered it to the Window Sheet with Tear & Tape adhesive.

I just needed my greeting (from Butterfly Wishes) on the front.

Then for the inside:

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (Dressed to Impress) at 4" x 5-3/4" and scored it at 1/2".  This was attached to the Whisper White cardstock and then adhered to the inside of the card.

So it looks like there are 3 layers:

I just tied a bow of Polka Dot Tulle ribbon around the top and my card was done!  I love the 3-D effect!

Are you ready for the new Annual Catalog?  Ordering starts on June 3rd, and there is a similar stamp to the Sending Flowers dies, Field of Flowers, with the Confetti Flowers punch.  I expect I'll be making more Window Sheet cards.  How about you?

A Jar of Sunflowers

I'm so excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's Winners Hop today!  Thanks to all of you who voted for my card (here), allowing me to join the top 10 winners and Kylie, herself, today.  This is truly an honor.

Today, coincidentally, is the 69th wedding anniversary of my parents.  Can you imagine?  So I decided to incorporate a few products from the upcoming 2020-21 Annual Catalog to celebrate this special day.

I just had to send a bouquet!

What new products do you spot?  I'll list them for you:
  • Greenery Embossing folder (for that marvelous running strip of leaves on the left side of the card; I used the folder to emboss Vellum cardstock)
  • Jar of Flowers stamps and Jar punch (to create the jar and stems for the flowers)
  • Celebrate Sunflowers (for the actual sunflowers)
  • Cinnamon Cider ribbon
  • Tasteful Labels dies

My sunflowers were stamped with Soft Suede ink and colored with Watercolor Pencils and an Aquapainter.  They were cut with the Sunflower dies.  I added a few extra leaves and the "wheat" included in the die set.

Check out that embossing!  This is such a cool folder...and there's a bonus!  The package actually contains two (TWO!) embossing folders for double the fun!  They are sized for the new Mini Cut & Emboss Machines that will be released at some point after the catalog goes live.

And that greeting - from Strong and Beautiful, a current stamp set that is (happily!) carrying over.  This was stamped and cut with the new Tasteful Labels dies.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

I can't wait for the catalog to go live!  I have so many more items on my Wish List.  What's on yours?

Thanks for visiting today! I hope you will take the time to peek at the other talented artists on the hop, and be sure to leave a comment - we all love comments!
