You've Got This in Mint

I have a simple but oh-so-pretty card to share with you today.  This was one we created in my June Card Club, and was a hit!

(Whoa!  Color wash-out!  Hold on, I have another photo with the REAL color coming up!)

We stamped on Whisper White cardstock the background stamp from You've Got This using Mint Macaron ink.  It was stamped randomly, just around 3 of the corners.  Then we cut the oval, using the Oval Framelits.

The flower was stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed with Silver Embossing Powder:

(the REAL color!).  Our layer with the oval window was attached over the flower, using Stampin' Dimensionals, then adhered to our card front (Mint Macaron) with more Dimensionals.  The pretty Dotted Lace Trim ribbon in Mint Macaron was slipped through the oval and knotted on one side.

Our sentiment was also heat embossed, and flagged with the Hexagon Punch, then added with guess what?  More Dimensionals!

So pretty!

Build a Birthday

Here's a fun card for all ages--the darling shaker card:

This uses the new Build a Birthday--a very versatile and fun set.

I started with a Crushed Curry Base.  The next layer is Whisper White, run through the Big Shot with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Now for the fun:
I took a piece of Cardstock Vellum, folded in half, and taped it closed (on three sides, to start) with Washi Tape.  Then I punched stars in Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Basic Black, using the Confetti Stars Border Punch, and added them to my pouch, along with some Bermuda Bay and Gold Sequins.  Then I sealed up the top.

This was adhered to my card front using Multipurpose Glue.

My candles were stamped and snipped using Mambo Melon, Island Indigo and Cucumber Crush inks.  Then they were adhered with Dimensionals.  Finally a layer of Dazzling Details was spread on the candle flames (doesn't look so good here, but it's cute in real life!).

Voila!  A celebration in a card!

Card Club Samples

Our June Card Club members made this card, submitted by one of my partners, Bonnie.  It was a huge hit, and is a lovely card.  Take a look:

The So Saffron base is 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".  There is a Blackberry Bliss layer, and the top is Very Vanilla.  We stamped the "swish" from Work of Art in So Saffron along with the flourish from Everything Eleanor.
The beautiful butterflies (Papillon Potpourri) were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a scrap of Very Vanilla.  Then using sponges, we swiped over the bottoms with So Saffron, and over the top with Blackberry Bliss.  These were then punched out, using the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

We used the stencil (after punching out the butterfly) to sponge the butterfly image directly on our card and then adhered the punched-out ones over the top with Glue Dots.  Then we stamped the antenna and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Here you can see the shadow of the butterfly where we sponged using the stencil.  So pretty!

We hold our Card Clubs three times each month.  If you live in the Sacramento area of California, why not join us?
