Another Sweater

So how are you coming with your holiday preparations?  I am breathing a little sigh of relief tonight, as my work is just about done.  We are going to be doing a little traveling this year - first a flight to Southern California to visit my dad and my sister, then a drive to San Diego to spend Christmas with my daughter and her family.  I haven't posted many of my creations lately, as they have all been for presents and I don't want to ruin the surprise!  But I'll be back before long, and have already begun planning some of my ideas using new products from the up-and-coming January - June 2022 Mini Catalog.  And Sale-a-Bration will be back!  One of the best times of the Stampin' UP! year!

So in the meantime...

I'm still having fun with Knit Together and the Knit Sweater dies.  I was happy to see that the stamp is going to carry over, although the dies are retiring (get them before they are gone!).  And I'm hoping there will be more dies to make cute "sweater-inspired" cards.  But in the meantime, I can still create with them, and look what I've got to show you today:

My dad currently resides in a nursing home, and I'm giving him a lap quilt for Christmas.  So how perfect is this "Warm Wishes" card?  (Get it? 😉)

I first stamped the sweater knit image using Evening Evergreen ink on Evening Evergreen cardstock.  Then I carefully lined up the dies and ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.

Once all the images were cut, I added a strip of Basic White cardstock to the back of the paper under the snowflakes, then mounted it to a piece of Gray Granite.

And those red trees?  I simply cut a strip of Real Red cardstock with the die of the Christmas trees, then carefully inserted individual trees into the holes from the first die.

The greeting was stamped after I masked "for a Happy Christmas" (the stamp is from Best Year), then cut with a die from the Pretty Pillowbox set.

And for the inside:

This time I masked the "Warm Wishes" and just inked up the bottom section of the stamp.

And don't you love the little deer?  They were cut from another of the dies in the Knit Sweater dies...so cute!

I'm wishing all my friends, family and customers a very happy holiday season!

See you next year!  😁

Gingerbread Tags

Need tags?

Quick post today to show you a cute little tag I made for a neighbor gift.

This came together so quickly, using the Gingerbread dies, Frosted Gingerbread stamps, Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories & More cards and the Tailor Made Tags die set.

Cut two of the largest tags, using Basic White and Real Red - and don't forget the little hole-dingle thingy (the reinforcement for the hole that the ribbon goes through).  😊

Stamp the greeting in Real Red ink on the white tag.  Then cut the gingerbread snowflake using the Kraft paper, Basic White and the Gingerbread dies.  Glue the "frosting" on the "cookie", and add it to the tag with Dimensionals.

And that adorable spatula?  Well you can either make your own with the What's Cookin' stamps and Cookin' dies, or simply use the pre-cut one from the Memories & More cards.  Easy peasy!

All gifts need a cute tag, right?

A Cheery Sneak Peek

I love daffodils.  I think they are SO cheery!  Many years ago, my friend/next-door neighbor's family owned a flower farm in Washington.  And each year she received a full box of daffodil buds, just waiting to bloom.  One year she had so many that she shared with me 4 bunches of daffs; she told me to keep them in the refrigerator, then when I wanted them, to take them out and cut an inch off the bottom of the stems before placing in water.  Imagine my amazement when just a few hours later I had an incredibly beautiful, full bouquet of daffodils.  And I've loved them ever since.

I think I especially like them because they bloom at the end of a long, dreary, gray winter.  Having these bright yellow blossoms around the house makes everything better.

So now imagine my delight when I saw the new Daffodil Daydream stamp set and Daffodil dies that will be released in the upcoming January - June 2022 Mini Catalog!  I actually squealed!

Look:

OMG, what a beautiful card!  (If I say so myself...which I am 😄)

Just look at the detail:

I cut the flowers using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry card stocks, along with Granny Apple Green for the leaves and stems.  They are simple to put together, and the best part is that you get two of the flower dies, so you can make multiples at once!

Note also the stitched border - that's the Stitched with Whimsy dies, and although they don't cut, they make wonderful "whimsical" patterns on your card layers.

The tag is cut with the Tailor Made Tags dies - the multiple sizes make it easy to add a tag to almost anything!

Although the outside of the card is mostly dies, I stamped the inside with one of the Daffodil stamps and colored the image with Stampin' Blends:

But wait!  There's more!

I first experimented with the stamps, making some mini cards:

I use lots of these 3"x 3" cards to tuck into packages when I mail items to customers, and these came out so cute!

And then:

My 2022 calendar!  I gift these to my December/January customers each year, and I can't wait for them to receive these beauties!

Would you like one?  Simply place an order of $25 or more in the months of December or January, and you'll receive this as my thank you!

Ahh, daffodils!  So cheery, and these stamps and dies will be available on January 4th for purchase.

Can't wait?  How about joining Stampin' UP! and adding them to your Starter Kit?  Just $99 and you get to choose $125 worth of product and get FREE shipping!  It's the best deal going!  Click here for more information and to sign up.
