Lovely Lattice, Part III

Let me start by wishing everyone a Happy New Year.  2019 is already looking to have many changes for me and my family, and I'm getting excited about the new year.  May you and your friends and family also look forward to a wonderful year!

Today I have my final installment of my Lovely Lattice series.  I've been showcasing this FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set for the past few days, starting with a "Beginner" card.  See it here. Then I moved on to a "Casual Stamper" card, for those who want a pretty card without the fuss.  You can see that card here.

And today I'll be showing off my "Avid Crafter" card, for those stampers who love "pretty" and everything that goes along with it.  Take a look:

This one pulls out all the stops!  But look how gorgeous it is!

Still using Lovely Lattice, I stamped it on Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Black ink.  The flower portion of the stamp was stamped again on scrap paper.

The flowers were colored using Light and Dark Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather, and the leaves were colored with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Blends.  The back of the lattice was shaded with Mint Macaron Light Blends and the outside of the lattice was colored with the Dark Highland Heather.

The entire lattice was fussy-cut with my Paper Snips, and then I cut several of the extra flowers and added them with Dimensionals for added pop.

The front of the card is beautiful too.  I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock along one edge with the Wonderful Floral Framelits dies.  This created the gorgeous edge with the cut outs and embossed leaves.

I balanced the cut outs with a piece of the Whisper White Flax Ribbon on the other side:

The sentiment, stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink, is from Humming Along, available January 3rd.  It was cut with the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies, and layered on Gorgeous Grape card stock.  Then the lattice piece was also added with Dimensionals.

Two Granny Apple Green leaves were cut with the Nature's Roots Framelits - they cut AND emboss at the same time, for a lovely textured embellishment.

The entire front panel was added to a Gorgeous Grape card base and I finished with bling - a few grape-colored Glitter Enamel Dots and some Highland Heather Blends-colored Rhinestones for the flower centers.

This card definitely took much longer to make than my previous two cards using the same stamp, but I think the results make it worth the effort.  Don't you?  Won't you leave me a comment and let me know which is your favorite?

Products used for these cards will all be available on January 3rd.  If you would like to know how to get a FREE Occasions or Sale-A-Bration catalog, please contact me.

Lovely Lattice, Part II

Welcome back to my feature presentation of Lovely Lattice, Part II.  I showed you yesterday a #simplestamping card, using one color of ink on a Whisper White Note Card and the Lovely Lattice stamp set; you can see that card here.  This is a beautiful stamp available through Sale-A-Bration, starting January 3rd, and you can earn it for FREE with a qualifying purchase.

Today, I'm stepping it up a bit - a perfect card for those familiar with stamping, but wanting a card that is not too difficult or time-consuming to create.  Take a look:

L.O.V.E.

This is still a simple card - one layer of stamping, using only one color of ink - Tuxedo Black, and only two stamps - Lovely Lattice and Humming Along.  Humming Along is a new set from the Occasions Catalog, and will be available January 3rd.  I also brought in a few more new products.  The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and the Old Olive Linen Thread are also from the Occasions Catalog.  If you don't have one of these, please contact me to find out how you can get a free copy.

Back to my card:

I stamped the Lovely Lattice main stamp with Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then the image was colored with Stampin' Blends in Daffodil Delight, Light and Dark pens, and Old Olive, Light and Dark.  The sentiment was also stamped in Tuxedo Black.

A thin strip of Gingham Gala DSP in Daffodil Delight was adhered to the side of the card, and I wrapped the Old Olive Linen Thread around the side twice, tying it off in a bow.

The most time-consuming part of this card is the coloring - and that's not very hard.  But it makes such an impact on this pretty card.

Come back tomorrow and see how I used Lovely Lattice once more for the Avid Crafter - those who take the time to make stunning cards.

Lovely Lattice

Yesterday's post featured the upcoming new stamp set from Sale-A-Bration, Lovely Lattice.  Over the next few days I will show you some samples I created using this wonderful, and very versatile, stamp.

First let's take a look at Lovely Lattice:

There are two other small stamps in the set, but I'm showcasing just this one large one.  Today I have a #simplestamping sample - one on which only the stamp, one color of ink and no other layers or embellishments are used.  Let's take a look:

This is SO simple I'm almost embarrassed to show it to you.  BUT, it's the absolute perfect card to send to someone who is ill, grieving, or just needs a hug.

And it only took about two minutes to stamp.  ðŸ˜‰  So it's just right for a the person who is new to stamping.  Beginners will love the ease of stamping one stamp with one color of ink.  But that's not to say that this card wouldn't be right for a more experienced stamper--simple can be beautiful!

Using a Whisper White Note Card (which come with envelopes) I stamped the Lovely Lattice main image using Tuxedo Black ink.

The beautiful sentiment, from Wonderful Romance (also available in the Occasions Catalog, starting January 3rd) uses the same Tuxedo Black ink, and perfectly compliments the Lovely Lattice stamp.

Mixing Old and New

I mixed some old and new products for my husband's birthday card; take a look:

Can you tell what the "new" product is?  Let's break down this card.

1.  The card base (hard to see against the black background) is Basic Black, cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and folded in half to make a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card
2.  There is a layer of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper in the background
3.  I adhered another layer of Wood Textures (the one with the cut tree trunks/logs) to a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and cut this with two of the NEW Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies - can you see the stitching along the outside and the inside?  This layer was added to the card front with Dimensionals
4.  The Happy Birthday Thinlits dies were used to cut the words with Basic Black card stock.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue o the bottom of the "B" and the tail of the "y", along with some slivers of Dimensionals to anchor the letters to the front of the card--it looks like they are floating

And that's it!

An easy, no stamping card.  But so effective!

These Rectangle Stitched Framelits are an absolute must-have for all crafters! With 13 sizes that "nest", they are fabulous for card fronts and layers for all your card-making needs.  They will be available in the Occasions Catalog, starting January 3rd.
