Here is one of the cards my club members made this month. It featured the Sweet Candy Canes bundle (stamps and dies) and the Sweetest Christmas patterned paper:
The card includes many new products - besides the Sweet Candy Canes stamps,
Candy Canes dies and the paper, we cut paper with the
Deckled Rectangle dies, used the new
Real Red and Garden Green ribbon, the
Festive Pearls and the cute
Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets. Wow! So many new items on one card!
Let's start with those candy canes - cutting them directly from the designer paper with the Candy Canes dies makes for an easy card! I cut the Garden Green ribbon in half, lengthwise, to tie a little bow just the right size for these candy canes.
This is a fun-fold card. We started with a piece of cardstock measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4". Then we cut a strip off the front at 2-1/8"; we saved the strip and cut it to 3-1/2", scoring one end at 1/2".
The flap is attached under the Basic White inside, and then the rectangle focal piece is attached so you can't see the inside greeting.
The designer paper includes two pieces (12" x 12") covered in candy canes. The dies fit, so you can get a ton of cards just by using the dies. Or stamp them, as I did on this card.
