Sorry...For Everything

If you ever have a need to say "I'm sorry" (and who among us doesn't?) then Sorry For Everything is a must-have stamp set. It's full of words (no images), from sympathy to asking for forgiveness, to belated birthdays and more. And the great big "Sorry" is a stand-out font:

I paired this set with the Embossing Paste to create a lovely card with lots of texture. Emerald Envy and Night of Navy work so well together; add a pop of Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight, and you've got a beautiful card.

The card was started by stamping the sentiment on Whisper White paper, using Night of Navy and Emerald Envy ink. I colored my embossing paste by adding a drop of Emerald Envy ink refill to it and mixing it on a Silicone Craft Sheet. Then I simply spread it on my cardstock using one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and let it dry. Full disclosure - I used washi tape over the mask to keep the paste off of my stamped words.

Don't you just love those little roses? They are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set, and are super simple to fussy cut. But they add so much!

The card base is Emerald Envy with a skinny layer of Night of Navy. And it's all wrapped up with some Emerald Envy ribbon (retired--I forgot to order the Crinkled Seam Binding in this color!).

This card is going to a friend who has been struggling with some health issues. I hope it brightens her day.

Happy "B" Day

Quick card:

This came together in minutes (I woke up thinking about this card!).

Make it:
1. Cut Basic Black cardstock to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"; score in half to create your card base
2. Cut designer series paper from Delightful Daisy to 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" and adhere to the base
3. Cut Whisper White cardstock to 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" and flick Old Olive ink splatters on it using Stampin' Write Marker in Old Olive; adhere to a piece of Basic Black, cut to 2-7/8" x 3-7/8"; mount to card front

4. Stamp Daisy from Daisy Delight, using Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight paper; repeat and punch each, using the Daisy punch. Curl petals using Bone Folder. Layer one on top of the other, adhere. Add Gold Faceted Gem to center; adhere to card using Dimensionals
5. Stamp bee from Dragonfly Dreams in Tuxedo Black ink on Daffodil Delight paper; cut with Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits; adhere to card using Dimensionals
6. Cut Happy Birthday using Happy Birthday Thinlits; snip off "birth" and adhere to card

A Visit to the Palace

It's been a few weeks since I've worked with the Eastern Palace Suite, so let's go back there again:

I wanted to use some of the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers, so I pulled out my Tranquil Tide and started stamping a pattern.

I stamped, using Tranquil Tide ink, lining up the pointed edge of the stamp from Eastern Beauty, and then filled in with the little decorative half "flower". Once done I added some of the stickers.

I cut two squares with Gold Foil sheets, and mounted my pattern-stamped piece to Gold as well. This was all adhered to a Tranquil Tide base.

I embossed the words using Gold Embossing Powder and my heat tool.

The finishing touch was the Gold 1/8" ribbon and a tassel from the Mini Tassel Assortment. Shiny and pretty!
