I know, I know...the Tree Lot dies, FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying purchase, are gone. 😢 But many of you took advantage of the offering, so I have one more Merry Monday card to show you, using the trees from the dies.
This is my idea of card perfection. Clean, simple, and gorgeous!
I initially got the idea for this card from one I saw on Erica Cerwin's blog. You can see it here.
It went together in minutes, and the tree could be substituted with any number of stamps or die-cuts, so you could easily make this card using something else.
I started with 1/2" strips of four colors - Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. They were glued to the Very Vanilla cardstock on the diagonal (cut the strips longer than you need; glue them down, flip your panel over and trim the strips from the back to get a clean look).
The greeting, from Christmas to Remember, was stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. Then the panel was adhered to a Mossy Meadow card base.
Now for the fun...The medium tree was cut from the Tree Lot dies and adhered to the Stylish Shapes circle using Dimensionals.
Then - see the little red balls on the tree? The new Pearlized Enamel Effects is to thank for those! This liquid enamel can be dripped onto your creations, creating "pearls" of color. It comes in Real Red, White and Black (perfect for Halloween!). It dries quickly (but be sure to give it a little time so it doesn't smear), and looks shiny and "pearl-like" on your cards.
Such a lovely card to wish your friends a Merry Christmas!
