If you're like me you'll need at least one gift card holder this holiday season. And I've got a cute and easy one for you for today's Merry Monday!
This bright and cheery card uses a 4" x 12" piece of patterned paper, scored at 4-1/4" and 9-1/2". It's adhered to a piece of Garden Green cardstock that measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", making it a standard size card. But that's the only "standard" thing about it!
It opens to reveal a gift card holder. How cool is that?
When you have scored your paper, fold on the 4-1/4" line to make the top flap, and the 9-1/2" score makes the bottom flap - add a skinny piece of double-stick tape or thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on each side and you create a pocket for your gift card.
This card uses the Sweet Candy Canes stamps for the main image; the "Merry Christmas" is from the Cottage Wreath set.
The candy canes were stamped with Sweet Sorbet and cut with the coordinating dies; the mistletoe (from the same set) was stamped with Garden Green and cut out. They were mounted on a Garden Green label (from Seasonal Labels dies) that was embossed with the Fern embossing folder.
I LOVE the little Flat Jingle Bell Trinket! Tied on with a piece of the Garden Green ribbon, it adds a sweet finish to my card.
I expect I'll be making several of these this holiday season...how about you?
