Swaps

A favorite pastime for paper crafters is to swap cards with friends (and even with people we don't know).  It's always fun to see what other card makers have done with stamps, ink, paper and embellishments, and it's a great way to learn new techniques or to use products in a new way.

So when my Ink Master team wanted to swap as the August - December Mini Catalog made its debut, I was excited to see what everyone would come up with.  The only "rule" was that all cards must have at least one item from the new catalog.  There were 9 of us who got involved.  I showed you my card (you can see it here), and today I want to show you the rest that I received.  Please feel free to comment on your favorites; I know my team would love to hear what you have to say.

First we have Halloween cards:

Gail used the Plaid Tidings patterned paper, the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch and the stamps from Festive Post- so cute!

Tani chose to go all elegant with the Magic in This Night patterned paper.  I love the Purple Posy touches and the Iridescent Pearls.

KKay used the Cobwebs embossing folder as a base, and stamped on her Magic in this Night paper with the Ghoulish Goodies stamps.

Some chose to highlight the beautiful autumn stamps and papers:

Ceresa's card has many pretty layers, all pulled together by the Gilded Autumn patterned paper on top.  I love the Gold-Embossed greeting and (difficult to see in the photo) the Forever Gold Laser Cut leaves!

Melanie popped up the punched acorns and leaves for a special detail.  The Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon combo were the perfect addition to this pretty card.

Bonnie sponged her Stitched Leaves - gorgeous!  She also added touches of metallic - the die cut sprigs and the label behind her greeting, along with the Gilded Autumn patterned paper.

And then Christmas:

Crystal used a snippet of plaid along with the beautiful Evergreen Forest embossing folder on Brushed Metallic cardstock.  The colors (Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler) are scrumptious together on Crumb Cake.

Jacque also used the Evergreen Forest embossing folder, this time on Silver Foil.  She also snuck in a piece of the Tasteful Textures patterned paper, and topped it all off with a gorgeous In the Woods die-cut tree.

And Gail was the overachiever with a second card, this time using the wonderful Moose punch on a fun-fold card:

I love these swaps, and hope you enjoyed them too.  I have such a talented team!
