Free as a Bird Celebration

It's always fun to celebrate someone, and I recently had an opportunity to celebrate the success of two of my fellow stampers.  So I sent them this card:

I had such a good time creating it, using lots of products that I knew they both loved.

Free as a Bird is a new stamp set within a new suite of products.  This set was introduced to me at OnStage in Salt Lake City in April, and I was able to take it home - woohoo!  So I started by stamping the birds with Tuxedo Black ink, and coloring them with Stampin' Blends (my favorite way to color!).  It was then cut with the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

This was adhered to a piece of Night of Navy, embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

And all mounted to some Whisper White cardstock stamped with the Buffalo Check background stamp (be sure to use your Stamparatus with this - I stamped it multiple times with Night of Navy ink to get a perfect plaid!)

What a great sentiment!  I love the mixed fonts and the words--from Butterfly Wishes.

And it's all tied up with a cut knot of "vintage" Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon.

Congrats Bonnie and Tani!  You ladies rock!
