Back on the Farm

I keep going back to the farm to play with my cows...and I'm adding in pigs.

Just a whimsical card combining two of my favorite stamp sets, This Little Piggy and Over the Moon.

A little back-story - I've been a fan of pigs for years.  When I was a little girl, something made me laugh, and I told my parents I was "as happy as a little pig", and it stuck.  Then my sister started sending me flying pigs, and it's become a joke.  If you could see my house, you'd marvel laugh wonder about my mental state when you saw all the flying pigs around.  (Seriously, I have quite a few, but it's not THAT bad 😄.)

So this card is for my sister (who likes cows as much as I like pigs).

Who doesn't love a flying pig with sparkly wings?

The images were stamped with Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Stampin' Blends, and then I sponged Call Me Clover, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy on the card.

My sister will laugh when she sees this cow dreaming of flying pigs...

The new Annual Catalog is just about to go live.  If you have anything left on your current wish list, order now or forever hold your peace; once the retiring items are gone, they are gone for good.  But the new catalog has LOTS of things to love!

Need one?  Drop me a line and I'll get one out to you.  And get ready to place orders starting June 4.

When Paper is all You Need

Sometimes you just have to let the paper do the talking:

I had a piece of the new Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper on my desk and knew I had to use it for a card.  It was a 4-1/4" x 6" piece, and it was talking to me.

So I set out to make a taller-than-usual card so I could get as much of the design on the card as possible.  Hence a 4-1/4" x 6" card.

I started with Mossy Meadow, two pieces cut 4-1/4"  wide.   One piece was 7" long, scored at 1", and the other was just a hair under 6" long.  I placed the 6" piece under the flap on the 7" piece, adhering it to make a long card.  Then I covered the front (where the flap showed) with the green piece of coordinating DSP.

The patterned DSP was mounted to Blackberry Bliss and I wrapped some Old Olive Bakers Twine around it before adhering it to the card front.

The rose is from Healing Hugs, stamped in "second generation" Blackberry Bliss (stamp off once before stamping the image on Whisper White).  I fussy cut it with Paper Snips.

I turned to Well Said and Well Written for the sentiment, on a new Stitched Nested Label.  The butterfllies are also from Well Written.  (Like this set?  Be sure to order before June 4 and save 10% on the bundle.  These products will not be sold together in the new catalog.)

So pretty.

And for the inside:

Another stamped off rose with the words stamped in full strength Blackberry Bliss.

You're going to love Perennial Essence!  Such a beautiful collection of designer papers!

And you can get your own pack starting Tuesday, June 4th.

Cute Cow

Have you ever seen a cute cow?  How about this:

Or is it a bull?  My friend, Sue, would know--she's an expert in animals, and regularly schooled me on the animals that were featured in our stamps.  Sue, where are you?  Do cows have horns?  Or only bulls?

Over the Moon is a new stamp set coming in June (just a few more days) and I am having fun playing on the "farm".

This is a super simple card.  Do you see the "cow" paper?  That's actually Thick Whisper White cardstock stamped with the splotches from Love What You Do.  Then I cut a hole in the middle with the Layering Ovals dies and stamped my cow (bull?) through the hole.

She (he?) is colored with Stampin' Blends, and my card is done.

Aww...lovin' these cows...they make me happy!

Do you need a new catalog?  Drop me a line and I'll be sure to get one out to you right away.  The Annual Catalog goes live on June 4, so get ready!
