Happy Daffodils

My January Cards-by-Mail offering included several birthday cards, as it is my birthday month, and I always like to start off the new year with a stash of cards to celebrate this special day.  And since I love daffodils along with the new Daffodil Daydream stamp set and Daffodil dies, I wanted to feature them on one of the cards.

I LOVE yellow with black and white!  Such a cheery pop of color against the two neutrals.  So what could be better than yellow daffs against a black & white background?

The flowers were cut from the dies, using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry cardstock.  The way they layer adds so much depth to these flowers!

The flowers are adhered to a Basic White Stitched Rectangle; the greeting is from All Squared Away.  And check out that checked ribbon!  The Black and White Gingham Ribbon is a carry-over from the holiday mini catalog and matches perfectly with the background!

Speaking of backgrounds, that paper is from the Host offering, Pattern Party.  This HUGE, 48-sheet 12" x 12" double-sided paper pack has great colorful patterns on one side and black & white patterns on the back.  You will always have coordinating designer papers with this pack!

And I can't forget to point out those adorable Brass Butterflies!  With 80 adhesive-backed butterflies in each pack, you'll have the perfect embellishment for all your floral creations!

OK, one birthday card down...several to go!  Stay tuned for more samples from my January Cards-by-Mail.  And be sure to pick up Daffodil Daydream with the Daffodil dies so you can make cheery cards too!
