Pretty Card Club Card

Here's a pretty card that we all made at my Card Club this month:

This card was made using a new color - Soft Sea Foam - which is so soft and lovely.  And adding the lovely dragonfly made this card a winner.  Dragonfly Dreams, with the coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies made this an easy card to put together.

The Soft Sea Foam was cut to 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2".  The front of the card was stamped multiple times with the large dragonfly from the set, using Soft Sea Foam ink.  Then a layer of Vellum, sized 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (to cover the entire front of the card) was adhered using only one line of adhesive along the middle of the card, lengthwise.  We covered the adhesive with the sentiment strip.

The strip was first heat embossed with the sentiment (there were many to choose from; this one is from the now retired Heartfelt Blooms) using Silver Embossing Powder, Versamark ink and the Heat Tool.

Once done, we stamped the dots from the set, randomly over the entire strip, using Soft Sea Foam ink, but stamping off once.  The strip was then adhered with Dimensionals.

We finished the card with some Silver Thread and a Silver Foil dragonfly.  Just lovely.

Happily this set and the framelits are carrying over to the new catalog.  This was the first time I had introduced it in my class, and I'm so glad that I did--it was a winner!
