Poppy Moments Meets Pigment Sprinkles

That's a mouthful, huh?  Poppy Moments, a new set of dies coming on January 3rd, is a beautiful grouping of flower pieces, made to be cut and put together.  So today, when I was trying to think of something fun to make, I thought I would cut a bunch of poppies and see what I could do with them.  But first...I wanted to play with some Pigment Sprinkles, those little powders that burst into glorious color when added to a water-soaked piece of cardstock.  Take a look:

This is Granny Apple Green on Watercolor Paper.  I spritzed the paper with water, then sprinkled on the Sprinkles, and watched the magic happen.  I also did one with the Melon Mambo sprinkles.

Then I got busy cutting with the dies:

And then I had to make something with it all:

Wow!  So colorful and lovely!  And really quite easy, although it does take time to make the sprinkles-colored page and cut out all the pieces.

I used the Painted Poppies stamps to create the background - Smoky Slate, stamped off, on Whisper White.  Then I heat-embossed a piece of Vellum with the Peaceful Moments sentiment before mounting it on my card.

Finally I pieced together my flowers and leaves; I added Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce to the pieces to give them some definition.

I've got lots of leftovers, so you may see more of these cards soon.

The Peaceful Poppies Suite is coming January 3rd.  Don't miss it!  The stamps, dies and especially the Designer Series Paper (which I did not use on this card, but will be showing it this week) will quickly become a favorite!
