A Little Different Card

Here's a card that is a little different from the usual:

At first glance you might think this is a normal, 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card, but that's not quite right:

When I stand it up, you can see that a triangle on the front of the card is missing and allows the greeting on the inside of the card to show.

This was one of the cards we made at our September Card Club.  Attendees learned to make their own background paper (see the lightly stamped images on the Cajun Craze card front) as well as how to make a slightly unusual card.

It's easy to make this "fun fold"--start with a piece of 4-1/2" x 11" Cajun Craze, and measure 3" up from the bottom right corner, and 3" left of the bottom right corner, then cut on the diagonal line it creates.  This gives you that "peek-a-boo" corner, just perfect for a lovely sentiment.

We used Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the leaves from Rooted in Nature on the small squares of
Very Vanilla cardstock.  These were mounted to a square of Mossy Meadow and adhered to the front of the card.  The sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms set (only available through the new Beginner Brochure); I love the font of this greeting.

And that pretty metallic accent in the middle?  That is a die from the Nature's Roots die set, embossed and cut out with Copper Foil.  SO pretty!

Try this "slice off the corner" card--it's a different kind of lovely!
