Have you heard of the "Floating Strips" technique? This is where you adhere strips of cardstock to a piece of Window Sheet (clear acetate) so when you add it to your card with Dimensionals it appears that your strips are "floating". Look:
This is one of the cards we made in my August Card Club class, and it's so pretty! We started with the piece of 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" Window Sheet and 10 quarter-inch strips of cardstock. They were glued to the Window Sheet leaving a small space between each strip.
The card base is Very Vanilla Thick cardstock. Then there is a piece of Very Vanilla that had a hole cut in the center using the Layering Circle dies, which was then embossed with the Brick embossing folder. We added Dimensionals to the back of the brick-embossed cardstock and laid it over our Window Sheet so that it was centered in the circle. Then it was added to the card base with Dimensionals.
A little greeting (from Beauty of Friendship) and some Stitched Leaves along with some Metallic Dots and a little bow finished our card.
Try the "floating strips" technique for something a little different. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
