Dressed for a Birthday

I love finding new ways to use my stamps.  Like when a birthday set can be used to celebrate the arrival of a new baby.  Or using a child-oriented set for an adult.  The versatility just adds value.

So when I saw Dressed to Impress, I was not thinking birthdays.  But why not?  Look:

Who wouldn't love to get this card?  It's elegant and pretty, and has a fun color combination.  And those Dressed to Impress roses work beautifully with the sentiment from Magnolia Blooms.  What?  You haven't heard of Magnolia Blooms?  It's a set of lovely stamps with flowers and two elegant greetings, found in the Beginner Brochure.  But it's certainly not only for new stampers!

Pairing the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper with the roses and greeting make a simple card, but adding in the layers (Stitched So Sweetly and Layering Ovals dies) and some luscious ribbon makes it a stand-out!

Sometimes less is more, and this card is the perfect example.
