Wonderful Floral Romance

I've got a super pretty card to share today; take a look:

Oh, my, this one is just about as romantic as you can get.  I think it will be my valentine to my hubs this year (don't tell!).  Even though it's not red or pink!

And I'm still loving those Rectangle Stitched Framelits - can you tell?

This card has a Pear Pizzazz base with a layer of Whisper White.  The center of the white is cut out with the Rectangle framelits -- they cut inside and outside the rectangle!  LOVE!  Then I used the same size framelit to cut the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper, and snuggled it into the hole left in the White frame.  Easy Peasy!

The sentiment from Wonderful Romance was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White and cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits, then layered on a circle of Crumb Cake and another of Mossy Meadow.  A "nest" of leaves and sprigs of Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and  Pear Pizzazz hold the sentiment, and it's all finished with a Frosted Flower Embellishment with a Pearl center.

This is such a beautiful phrase, and with things going on in my life right now, it's just perfect for the man in my life!

Take a look at Wonderful Romance and Floral Romance DSP--a combination of romance and beauty; I think you'll love it!

Beautiful Romance

While playing with the new Rectangle Stitched Framelit dies, I cut some papers and couldn't resist putting them together.  Take a look:

I had a piece of Pear Pizzazz lying on my desk, so I thought the leaf pattern from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper would make a pretty layer.  But I wanted a plain center for my focal image, so I cut the DSP with another one of the Rectangles.  This created a "frame" of leaves, but when I cut one more piece of Whisper White, I found I could just nestle it into the frame for a lovely card front.

Using the Wonderful Romance main image, I stamped it with Versamark and embossed it in Gold Embossing Powder.  Then I colored it with Light and Dark Mossy Meadow and Light Petal Pink Blends.  So pretty!  And it was a piece of cake to cut it out with the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies. A few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls made the flower centers pop.

I layered the embossed image on my card with Dimensionals, and embossed a sentiment from the same set with the Gold.  Then I merely finished it all off with the Whisper White Flax Ribbon--I pulled two of the strands of thread out and created a little bow, which is adhered with a Glue Dot.

This is such a pretty card!  And those Rectangle Stitched Framelits are going to be a best seller!  Get yours today; the Occasions Catalog is live and waiting for your order.

Lovely Lattice

Yesterday's post featured the upcoming new stamp set from Sale-A-Bration, Lovely Lattice.  Over the next few days I will show you some samples I created using this wonderful, and very versatile, stamp.

First let's take a look at Lovely Lattice:

There are two other small stamps in the set, but I'm showcasing just this one large one.  Today I have a #simplestamping sample - one on which only the stamp, one color of ink and no other layers or embellishments are used.  Let's take a look:

This is SO simple I'm almost embarrassed to show it to you.  BUT, it's the absolute perfect card to send to someone who is ill, grieving, or just needs a hug.

And it only took about two minutes to stamp.  ðŸ˜‰  So it's just right for a the person who is new to stamping.  Beginners will love the ease of stamping one stamp with one color of ink.  But that's not to say that this card wouldn't be right for a more experienced stamper--simple can be beautiful!

Using a Whisper White Note Card (which come with envelopes) I stamped the Lovely Lattice main image using Tuxedo Black ink.

The beautiful sentiment, from Wonderful Romance (also available in the Occasions Catalog, starting January 3rd) uses the same Tuxedo Black ink, and perfectly compliments the Lovely Lattice stamp.
