Tis the Season

Yes, it's time for Christmas cards!  I recently held a Christmas card class, and this week I'll showcase the cards we made.

Let's start with this:

This beautiful card was CASED from Dawn Griffith.  There are a few changes from her original, and it's a lovely version of hers.

The card features the wonderful Christmas Quilt set and coordinating Quilt Builder Framelits Dies.  Although it looks complicated, it was quite easy to put together.

We started by stamping the Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green quilt pieces; we stamped the outline in Tuxedo Black ink, then filled in the parallelogram dots and stripes.  Once done, we cut the quilt square from Gold Foil sheets and laid it over our stamped piece.  It was adhered to the Gold Foil Scalloped Circle and then we just had to put our card together.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler.  There are two layers:  Gold Foil and Very Vanilla; under our scalloped circle is a piece of Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper in Garden Green.

Our sentiment, from Oh What Fun, was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, and all we needed to finish off this card was a pretty Gold Ribbon bow.

C'mon back this week to see the other cards we made; it was a fun class and everyone went home with six Christmas cards.
