Birthday Time

Another birthday - this time one of my colleagues.  Although none of us spend very much money on gifts, we always take the time to recognize our special days.  And I like to make my little gift LOOK special:

What do you think?  A matching card and gift bag (to hold a little shower sugar scrub and puff).

The card came first:
Simple but fun--This wonderful stamp set, Time of Year, has not seen enough love yet.  So out it came along with Dapper Denim--a new In Color that also has had much time in the spotlight.  The card base is Dapper Denim, with a layer of In Color Designer Series Paper Stack paper.  The sentiment was stamped in Dapper Denim ink on Whisper White and layered over a piece of Crushed Curry.  The little banner was cut out using the Bunch of Banners Framelits, and popped up with a Dimensional.  And the ribbon was stapled on using the handheld stapler (sorry, this has been discontinued, unfortunately).

I punched a million stars (well, ok, not a million, but lots!) with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, and placed them using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  And the envelope got some special attention with identical stripes on the flap.

Now on to the bag:
A plain white handled shopping bag becomes a work of art with a few steps. The matching DSP was added to the front with a strip of Crushed Curry.  I used some sparkly Washi Tape (from this year's Sale-a-Bration) and a strip of Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon.

Hello You Thinlits supplied my "happy" and the "birthday" was from an old, retired Big Shot strip (see?  It pays to keep your old schtuff!)

I stamped a tag, and slipped it on the handle, and that, as they say, is that!  Pretty packaging, 1-2-3!

Most supplies can be purchased here.

How do you package up your gifts?
