Moody Textures

I've been creating swaps to bring to Houston this week, as I will be attending Stampin' UP!'s annual OnStage event. This large convention-like gathering will be introducing the upcoming 2024-25 Annual catalog and lots of new products.

Demonstrators from all over the US and Canada will be meeting, and lots of us have made cards to "swap" for samples from others. Check out this one:

Using the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper dictated my main color of Moody Mauve. Blackberry Bliss is a perfect complement for a layer and the embossed pot (embossed with the Earthen Textures dies).

I cut a Nested Essential shape with Pretty Peacock and heat-embossed a greeting in Silver.

The pot contains sprigs in Moody Mauve, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock. So pretty!

And I finished with some 2023-25 In Color Dots in Moody Mauve.

I can't wait to share the cards I bring back from Houston!

Earthen Textures in Moody Mauve

Have you seen the Earthen Textures suite? I've only highlighted one card so far, but it was a beauty. And now I have another:

L.O.V.E.!

What do I love? Let me give you a list:

1. The simplicity - a simple pot with some reeds. But wait! There's more!

2. The colors - Moody Mauve and Blackberry Bliss (a color I rarely use because somehow I tend to wear it for the rest of the day - I always end up with it on my fingers!) 😁

3. The background paper - One of the patterns in the Designer Paper, Earthen Elegance is full of rich colors, textures and designs.

4. The embellishments - the InColor Textured 3/8" Ribbon in Moody Mauve is a joy to work with, and the 2023-2025 In Color Dots are a perfect match!

The Basic White Nested Essentials die-cut has the reeds stamped directly on the paper in Blackberry Bliss ink. The pot was stamped with Moody Mauve ink on Moody Mauve cardstock and cut with the coordinating die. It was adhered flat to the page so that the banner greeting could be popped up.

We made this card in class last month and everyone agreed that it was stunning.

Earthen Textures is a beautiful set of stamps that are very versatile. Imagine this card as a "Thinking of You", "In Sympathy", or even a "Just a Note"; you can see that it is great for so many occasions! Just what I love about Stampin' UP! stamps!

Earthen Textures

I sometimes mention a stamp set or bundle that does not resonate with me...until...I see samples. And then I'm hooked.

Earthen Textures, and the Earthen Textures dies, along with the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper was one such bundle. I told myself "it's just pots with leaves", and I wasn't interested. Until...those samples. And then something spoke to me.

So here's my first play:

Yeah, just pots with leaves. But what a gorgeous combination!

First, that background paper. So beautiful, in shades of Pretty Peacock and Pebbled Path, with "flecks" included!

I stamped the pots with Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze inks, then cut them with the dies. Hard to see, but the smaller pot has an "XX" pattern in Pretty Peacock - one of the dies makes this pattern. And the larger pot has a "top" of peacock.

I mounted the pots on a piece of Vellum cardstock, cut with the Nesting Essentials dies. One of the leaf patterns is stamped directly on the Vellum, while the other was stamped and cut with the dies. I also tucked some Pebbled Path sprigs (cut with dies) into each pot.
