A friend asked to see my craft room after I posted a photo to Facebook showing a glimpse of it. So since I just cleaned it yesterday (although it may be hard to notice that it's clean 😂) I thought it would be a good day to make a little video.

Have you seen the new Simply Sparkling stamp set/bundle? It was on my wish list as soon as I saw a preview that it was coming. Why? I couldn't tell you. But there was something about this set that made me giggle.

Lemon-lime soda anyone?
So what do I love about this set? The soda can with dies that cut it out, along with a cute embossed top WITH A POP TOP! Eek, so cute! The straw! All of the fruits (I only used two - the lemon/lime stamp and the citrus half, but there are three others so you can make all kinds of sodas!). And then there are the puns...who doesn't love a good pun?

And I just stamped and colored the fruit using Stampin' Blends, and then cutting them out.
I'm already thinking about my next Simply Sparkling card - it's so much fun!

Some weeks ago I shared a card that I made for a card swap:
This pretty card features the So Very Merry stamp set along with Stargazing DSP and the Merry Melody embossing folder.
I liked it so much I made another, using a different stamp from the set:
This time I heat-embossed Santa with Black Embossing Powder, then colored the image with Stampin' Blends. It was punched with the 2-3/8" circle punch and layered on a Basic Black Stylish Shapes circle.
Last week I was invited to "teach" a class for a local Garden Club. I knew there would be 15 women in attendance, none of them stampers (although many, I was told, are "crafty"). So I wanted to come up with a card that would be easy for new stampers, but beautiful and reflective of the group of attendees (avid gardeners). I think I hit the mark:
I chose the Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper to use as the main focal point. This beautiful paper, currently available via the OnLine Exclusives, has 48 sheets of 6" x 6" papers, 12 different - and gorgeous! - designs, all featuring gardens/meadows. I had chosen 18 pages and cut them to 4" x 5-1/4", along with a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strip of the same sheet.
Each attendee selected their favorite design (and happily there were not arguments over them! 😂) and adhered them to a Thick Very Vanilla card base.
The ladies were pleased, and my class information sign-up sheet was full! I think the class was a success!
