A Traditional Merry Monday Card

Are you a fan of traditional Christmas colors, ie. reds and greens?  If so, you're going to love this card:

The Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper from the September - December 2023 Mini Catalog is a perfect pack for those of us who enjoy using "traditional" colors for the holiday season.  Featuring patterns in Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Pecan Pie and Pebbled Path, this is sure to win over the traditionalist in you!

And this easy template can be used over and over to make cards for any occasion.

Start with three strips of DSP, measuring 3" x 1" each.  Place them (without adhering yet) to a piece of cardstock cut to 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" (I used Shaded Spruce).

Stamp your image in the space between the bottom two strips (I stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed the greeting from Christmas Classics in Silver).  Once done, adhere your strips.

This layer is added to one that is 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" (I used Cherry Cobbler).

To your card base (Shaded Spruce in my card) layer one more piece of coordinating DSP (the plaid in this card).  Your top piece with the strips goes on this.

Decorate with dies cuts and jewels and you've got a beautiful card!  And depending on the colors and DSP used, you can make several and they will all look different.

Now I think I'll try this same card in non-traditional colors...will your recognize it?
