Lots to Love

I nearly forgot to show you the boxes I created for my team for our Las Vegas trip.  We like to bring snacks for the long day, and I packed a few goodies in these adorable boxes:

Using the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies, and the now retired-but-still-fabulous Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper, I made a bunch of the boxes.  So easy, and they go together perfectly!

Once complete, I decorated the boxes with the Lots of Labels Thinlits in Pool Party (and embossed with the Scattered Sequins embossing folder), a banner strip of Vellum and the Celebrate You thinlits cut in Copper, Gold or Silver Foil.  I just tucked in a few leaves, punched with the Leaf Punch and some Tranquil Tide paper.

They were all a little different, but I loved the way they came out.

Don't have this die yet?  Well hurry!  It's on the retiring list, and once gone, it'll be gone for good.  And these little boxes are the perfect gift card holder, host gift, or a special way to present that "little something".

Speaking of retirement, don't forget to check out the retiring list:

Here's the link to retiring products from the annual catalog.

And here's the link for those items "walking the plank" from the Occasions catalog.  If you love them, don't delay!

Sending Hugs

I have three grandsons who are out of school for the summer.  My husband and I went shopping at a local toy store to send them something to help pass the long summer days.  Puzzles, Dominoes and a card were mailed off from "Grammy and Grumpy" and here are the cards I sent:

This started with a card base and two layers, Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay, that was left over from a class.  So I used the large "hugs" from Lovely Inside and Out to stamp an ombre layer for the center panel.  Colors are Pool Party, Marina Mist, Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo and Night of Navy.  Of course I relied on my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to line everything up perfect!

The panel was mounted on a layer of Night of Navy, and then I added two strips of 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in Lemon Lime Twist for a pop of color.

Do you see that background?  I stamped "HUGS" in Versamark ink, again employing the Stamp-a-ma-Jig.  When I needed just part of the stamp, I grabbed some retired Washi Tape to mask off some of the stamp, inked it up, removed the tape, and stamped just the letters I needed.  Such a fun background!

I was so pleased with this card, I decided to duplicate it for my other grandson, using some new colors:

Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist this time...and for the ombre panel, I started at the bottom with Tranquil Tide.  The next one is also Tranquil Tide, but stamped off once.  Then I repeated it, but stamped off twice--using my Stamp-a-ma-Jig I stamped over it in Lemon Lime Twist.  The fourth word is in Lemon Lime Twist, full strength, and I topped it off with Lemon Lime Twist stamped off.

And for this card I added that adorable bow--the 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows are already tied and have a glue dot on the back; just the simple and cute embellishment I needed.

Belated Father's Day

I have one more Father's Day card, but this could actually be used for MANY reasons:

This is the card I sent my dad.  The Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist combo is fresh and lively.  The designer papers come from two paper packs:  Eastern Palace (the Dapper Denim sheet) and Fresh Florals (the Lemon Lime Twist piece).

The Lovely Words Thinlits make card-making a snap!  These are so easy to layer with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Circles (the scalloped layer).

Add the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set, and your card is done!  (The stamp set and thinlits are sold in a bundle, saving you 10%!).

I just stamped the words in Dapper Denim ink and flagged the ends; popped up with Dimensionals, these words make a statement!

All items used can be purchased in my online store; just click the photo of the item below and you'll be taken to the site.
