Hand Delivered Congrats!

My daughter recently received a promotion at work, so naturally she needed to get a congratulatory note from me.  Hand Delivered made her card fun and pretty:

Because I loved the way this came out, I chose to use it at my Card Club, along with a choice of background Designer Series Papers, "wardrobe" change and different colors:

My first card uses Soft Sea Foam as the card base, and the star pattern from Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.  The second has a Pool Party base, with the striped paper from the same DSP pack.  And did you notice the girl's skirt?  Florals and stripes--so fun!

The balloons were colored using Stampin' Blends in coordinating colors.  And each card has a slice of vellum card stock behind the main panel, along with a knot of 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

And a side by look for comparison:

Which is your favorite?

Hand Delivered Anniversary

I love this stamp set!  Hand Delivered is just so cute for so many occasions.  Take this card:

I needed an anniversary card for my sister and brother-in-law.  Using the wedding cake was perfect for this card.  Isn't this cute?

I stamped the bottom half of the woman using Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored her legs and shoes with Stampin' Blends, and stamped the stripes in the skirt with Lovely Lipstick.

Then I stamped the hands, carrying the cake, and colored the image with the Blends.  This was then adhered to a panel of Lovely Lipstick.

The card base is Whisper White Thick cardstock, with a layer of Lovely Lipstick and then a panel of the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped a length of now-retired ribbon around the card and tied it in a bow.  Then the stamped panel was adhered with Dimensionals.

A sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet was stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink; the end of the Whisper White strip was flagged using the Triple Banner Punch, and I used a Glimmer Enamel Dot for a little glitz.

Hand Delivered is a Host set; place an order of $150 (before shipping/tax) and you can choose this set to join your collection of most-favorite stamps!  It's one of mine, and I'm sure it will quickly become one of yours.

Did you earn Bonus Days coupons during the month of August?  Well now is the time to spend them.  If you have an email from Stampin' UP! telling you that you earned Bonus Days coupons, I'd be happy to assist you in redeeming them.  Don't miss out--Bonus Days can only be redeemed in September!

Graceful Glass

One of the very pretty new Designer Series Papers about to debut in the new Annual Catalog from Stampin' UP! is Graceful Glass.  This 6" x 6" vellum cardstock is printed with designs that look like they are embossed with black embossing powder.  There are 24 sheets in a package, and they are so pretty.

Here are some samples I've made using just one of the sheets:

Let's take a look at these, one at a time.

My first attempt uses two new colors, Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green.  So vibrant!  I colored the vellum panel (on the back) using Stampin' Write Markers in these colors.   Then I mounted the panel to Whisper White, and proceeded to layer using the same colors.

I also used a new punch - the Detailed Trio punch has 3 sides.  Two of them make pretty corners and the third can be used to punch a hole in a tag for ribbon.

The sentiment is from a new set, Enjoy Life.  It just seemed a perfect fit for these lovely iris flowers.

Here's another card:

I colored this panel using Stampin' Blends in Pink Pirouette (which will be retiring), Old Olive, and the new Lovely Lipstick.  The panel was layered on Whisper White, and Lovely Lipstick strips flank the sides.

The sentiments are from Varied Vases, and I colored tiny pearls with the Lovely Lipstick Blends for embellishing.

And finally:

I LOVE these lilies!  Colored with the Pumpkin Pie Combo pack of Stampin' Blends, along with some Daffodil Delight and Old Olive, they complimented the Grapefruit Grove paper perfectly!  The textured-looking paper is one from the pack of Nature's Poem DSP - absolutely gorgeous!

And that petite scalloped border is another new DSP - Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper.  OMG, this is fabulous!  Eight sheets of delicately laser-cut paper; one side is Very Vanilla and the other is Whisper White, giving you many options for coordinating with your projects.  There are four large (12" x 12") lace-like panels and four with various designs - frames, borders (like the one used here) and overlays.  There are many ways to use them--cut and added to your project, or they can be colored (bartered, sponged or spritzed) to match whatever color you want.  Go ahead and add this to your wish list now - you're welcome!

I also added a few new embellishments to this card - Artisan Pearls in Grapefruit Grove and the same-color Nature's Twine (which comes in a 4-color package).  The sentiment is from Hand Delivered, an adorable new Host Set that will be available on 6/1.

So there you have it--several ways to use the new Graceful Glass vellum paper--and this is just ONE sheet!  Can't wait to share more projects with you!
