Do you ever participate in stamping challenges? I have done these in the past, but haven't in a long time. So when I saw Australian demonstrator Alisa Tilsner post a daily challenge for the month of July, I thought I would play along.
Today is Day 1, and the goal is to create a card without a sentiment. That shouldn't be too difficult! Here's mine:
I pulled out my Pretty Florals stamps and dies and the Florals in Bloom designer paper and got to work. My card base is Lemon Lolly with a skinny layer of Poppy Parade. I took a 4-3/4" x 3-7/8" piece of the patterned paper and cut it into three strips, adhering them to a piece of Peach Pie cardstock.
Next I stamped the Pretty Florals images on Basic White with Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock ink. I cut the panel with the Textured Notes dies and mounted it on Poppy Parade. This was popped up on Dimensionals on the front of my card.
I had no Poppy Parade jewels, so I made my own! How? I took some Polished Dots and colored them with a dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend. Easy!
And inside:
I didn't stamp a greeting, but I did stamp and cut out one more flower from the set. I'll add a sentiment later - this card would be good for a birthday, thinking of you, congratulations or even a happy anniversary!
Now it's your turn - stamp a card without a sentiment. Let's see what you come up with!
