Decorative Gift Giving

Got a little gift to give?  Why not decorate a plain gift bag with stamps and colors?

I wanted to gift a customer a small embellishment package, but didn't want to just put it in a card.  Since she was attending one of my classes, I thought I'd decorate a little bag.  And I love it!  Isn't it pretty?

In the last catalog, now retired, there were some little gift bags in a combo set - small  (tiny) ones and slightly larger (this one).

I thought I would try stamping and stenciling the front of the bag...and it was SO easy!  I just laid it as flat as I could, stamped the image using a stamp positioning tool (my now-retired Stamparatus 😥) and then started coloring with the coordinating Layers of Beauty masks (stencils).

The first layer for the flower was Bubble Bath, followed by Fresh Freesia, and the last accents were done in Petunia Pop.  Then the leaves - Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green for a lovely spring look.

After inserting my gift of jewels, I punched two holes near the top of the bag, threaded through some Petunia Pop ribbon, and tied it closed with a bow.

I loved the reaction from the class attendees, and I loved telling them that I made it!

Layers of Beauty and the decorative Masks are currently available in the 2025-26 Annual Catalog.  Why not try decorating your next gift bag?
