Another High Tide?

Yes, I just can't get enough of this set!  I keep stamping lighthouses and then I have to do something with them; so you may just get sick of my creations!  (Previous cards here and here)

This time I stamped it on a small piece of Whisper White paper:

And I did a lot of sponging.  The lighthouse was stamped in Marina Mist and Night of Navy (so cool!).  I then masked it (stamped it on a piece of sticky note and carefully cut it out, and placed the mask over my lighthouse) so I could sponge a sunset.  I had already stamped the water and sand, so I also laid pieces of sticky note paper over the stamped images and then went to town with lots of colors:  Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant and Night of Navy.

I mounted my panel to a piece of Whisper White.

The card base is Night of Navy; a piece of Marina Mist took a trip through the Big Shot with the Seaside Embossing Folder, and I stamped the sentiment from Watercolor Wishes on Crushed Curry cardstock using Night of Navy ink.  The little seashell is from Seaside Shore (and was cut using my contraband Dave's Dies).

Enamel shapes in Crushed Curry and Night of Navy finish off this lovely card.

Like lighthouses?  Get High Tide, and see if you can stamp just one!  I dare you!

I love this with the sunset. I hadn't thought of using those dark colors for sunset.

Thanks, Ceresa; these are usually my "go-to" sunset colors. It's my favorite sponging technique!

Did you make a video of your sponging technique?
I love this card!

The above comment re: 'sponging technique' video was made by me:
Vickie Leeman, GA - another SU Demo. just didn't know which
'comment' option to use! You are very talented and 'thanks'
for sharing.

Thanks very much, Vickie! (Sorry for the delayed response; I've been out of town). I have never done a video on my sponging technique, but that's a great idea. I'll work on that this week and see what I can put together. Thanks for visiting!
