Sweet as a Peach, Two Ways

Here's a card we made in my Card Club in July.  It features Sweet as a Peach, and we did some blending with Blending Brushes.

It was also a "fun fold" card - the front panel of the card was cut down so there was only one 1-1/4" strip on the left side, and then a smaller panel was placed on the front, overlapping the Basic White layer inside.

We started by stamping the leaf image in Pear Pizzazz, and then adding the peaches, which were inked with Pale Papaya and then had some Calypso Coral sponged directly on the stamp.  This gave us very realistic looking peaches!

Then using a Blending Brush we added some Balmy Blue around our stamped images.  Boy did this make those peaches pop!

A strip of polka-dotted You're a Peach patterned paper adorns the edge, and a strip of Pale Papaya and White 1/2" ribbon was our only embellishment.  But it' such a pretty card.

Now by Stampin' UP! rules, I can't include stamped images on my Cards-to-Go kits, so I substituted a piece of the You're a Peach paper:

Which is your favorite?

Don't forget about the Designer Series Paper sale, going on now through the end of the month.  You're a Peach is one of the papers on sale for 15% off - who wouldn't love to save while stocking up?

Hello, Friend

Needed a quick card for a friend who recently had surgery, and have been wanting to use the new Biggest Wish stamp set.  And then I also had a hankering to use some cool black and white paper from the host paper pack, Pattern Party.  So here is what I cooked up:

Lots of new products on this card, starting with the stamp set.  Biggest Wish has large words (see the "HELLO" here) and words in script ("friend") and you can mix and match them to create some great greetings.

I started by stamping "HELLO" in Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White cardstock.  Then I stamped over the word using Versamark, and heat-embossed the word "friend" in Gold.  So fun!

The tag was cut with the Tailor Made Tags dies, and I cut a slightly larger one out of Gold Foil.  Then I tied them together with new Black & White Gingham Ribbon (not just for Halloween!).

The black & white paper is the back side of the Pattern Party designer series paper.  I chose two coordinating patterns and added them to a piece of Basic White cardstock, then wound some Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the seams, top and bottom.  This was then adhered to the front of the card.

A quick and easy way to send a greeting to a friend.

Don't forget:  Designer Series Papers are on sale now!  15% off selected patterns.

But don't delay!  This sale ends August 2!

Time for Merry Mondays

It's time for Merry Mondays, something I started last year; I feature a new holiday card each week.  I found that if I start creating my Christmas cards in July, and make at least one each week, I can have them ready to send out in December, without stressing over having to make so many at once!  I also feature Christmas cards in my Card Clubs and Cards-by-Mail each month from now until December.  It's a great time to purchase products and start making your cards.

So first up:  a card using the new Tidings & Trimmings bundle.

I actually created this card for my first in-person Card Club in over a year!  I wanted to display new products and samples, and this was one of them.  Isn't it pretty?  And you'll see, it is very easy and duplicatable-- something I love for my holiday cards.

The "star" of the show (pun intended 😁) is that gorgeous star!  Created using only the dies in the Christmas Trimmings set, I first cut a Mossy Meadow solid star, then layered the Copper Foil detail on top (it's another die in the set).  See?  EASY!

The gingham checked paper is a returning favorite, Heartwarming Hugs.  I love it as much this year as I did last year!

Just look at the detail on that star!  And the little Mossy Meadow and Copper sprigs were also cut from the dies.  I layered it all on a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle, stamped with a greeting from the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set.

My first Christmas card is in the bag!  What a great start to the holiday preparation!

Don't forget:

Going on now!  Until August 2, you can stock up and save on your favorite Designer Series Papers, with a 15% discount on each pack.

Don't let this sale pass you by!
