Delightful Vases

Here's a winning combination: Varied Vases and Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper. Take a look:

Is that not a perfect card? (Not that I'm trying to get praise here, but I truly think this is a "just right" card!)

I started with one of my favorite new colors - Coastal Cabana. This returning color makes me SO happy! And pairing it with Bermuda Bay makes me want to do handsprings!

I started with a piece of Bermuda Bay and stamped the "ledge" from Varied Vases on it. I then stamped the vases with Tuxedo Black and Coastal Cabana, and punched them with the matching Vases Builder Punch. I also stamped the orchid and fussy cut it; happily the leaves for the succulent can also be punched. See the little Artisan Pearls added to the orchid?

I selected the beautiful oval from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper and popped it up with lots of Dimensionals. The sentiment was punched with the Modern Label punch. So easy!

I just had to add it all to my Coastal Cabana card base and I was done! Easy and so pretty!

Such a Happy Card!

After holding my Open House Launch Party last week, I wanted to thank those customers who placed orders for new products. I thought it would be fun to create a thank you note using the products that they bought (from my own stash - not their new products 😁).

Phyllis ordered Eastern Beauty and the Eastern Medallions Thinlits dies. I haven't used that set in awhile, so decided to try something with new colors:

I had no idea I would love Mango Melody so much! This new addition to the Brights Family is smashing!

I cut my cardstock to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and folded it in half. I stamped the circles from Eastern Beauty randomly over the front of the card, using Mango Melody ink. Then I added the "thank you" using Bermuda Bay ink - only one is full strength ink; the others are stamped off once.

A strip of Pineapple Punch made a bright focal point, and I added a little trim from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper. Such a small detail, but it adds so much!

I stamped and cut three of the medallions - you can use two dies at the same time to cut your image AND to make the little popped out "petals". I just punched a 3/4" circle for the centers.

I hope Phyllis likes her card, and it gives her some ideas on what she can do with her new products.

One Card, Five Ways

I wanted to showcase the new 2018-2020 In Colors at my Open House, and had seen a number of demonstrators stamping simple cards with a new stamp set, Love What You Do. I decided to jump on the bandwagon, and here are the cards I created:

Each card has a base of one of the new In Colors, a skinny layer of Basic Black, and then a panel of Whisper White. All sentiments are stamped in Tuxedo Black. Shall we take a peek at them, one at a time?

Here is Blueberry Bushel:

The flowers were stamped with Tuxedo Black, and then I used the large "filler" stamp in Blueberry Bushel - stamped off once - and then followed it with a full-strength stamp using the small "filler". Take a look at that ribbon - I died the new Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon using a Spritzer filled with Blueberry Bushel reinker and some rubbing alcohol. It dried quickly and makes a sweet accent.

Pineapple Punch:

Wowsers! This is bright and cheery! I just colored the little flowers with the Pineapple Punch marker, and it was done.

Lovely Lipstick:

I luckily scored a new Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends alcohol marker when I attend the On Stage event in Las Vegas. This is one of the colors soon to be released. There are 22 (twenty two!) new colors of Blends coming in mid-June; that's 11 combos of colors, and I can't wait!

But I digress...this card was colored with Lovely Lipstick, and all it needed was a few of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. Beautiful!

Call Me Clover:

I think this is one of my favorites, because of all the sparkly rhinestones on the stamped image. I colored them with a bright green Sharpie marker (that works well until the new Blends come out--there is a combo pack of Call Me Clover - YEA! Did you know the Blends can color pearls and rhinestones? Double YEA!)

Grapefruit Grove:

One more beautiful card; I stamped the background using Grapefruit Grove ink, then stamped the image in Tuxedo Black. A few Artisan Pearls in a matching color, and BAM - done!

Thee cards would make a lovely gift in one of the Acetate Card Boxes. Packaged up with envelopes and a pretty ribbon around the box, and you have an Art-from-the-Heart gift.
