Bubbbling Over

There's a new stamp set making it's debut in January, and I wanted to show you what I've been playing with:

Bubble Over is a set of stamps with bottles and lots of accessories to make any celebration more fun. And the matching Bottles and Bubbles Frameltis Dies multiplies the options to create. While in Salt Lake City, I got to try it out on this card:

Check out that straw! It even has soft embossing marks where the bend in the straw would be. So cute! The Designer paper strips behind the bottle is from the FREE Sale-a-Bration offering, Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.

This was one of the first sets I ordered, and I sat down to make a "boy" and "girl" card; what do you think?

For a girl, I added a little ribbon:

The Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon with a little Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding behind it made a great bow.

And see those bubbles behind the bottle? I embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder for a little pizzazz. The patterned paper is also from the FREE SAB paper pack--and it just happens to be in my favorite color!

Now guys don't usually appreciate ribbons and bling, so I scaled back a bit on HIS card:

Same colors, Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist, but simple. I only added a few bubbles coming out of the bottle--the Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes adds some fizz to the card.

It'll be fun trying new stamps and accessories; I've placed my pre-order and look forward to showing you more samples throughout the month.

Sneak Peeks and a Sale!

When I was at On Stage last month, we had some Make & Takes to play with. The Tutti Frutti Suite caught my eye and was such fun! Look at these adorable tags:

And the fruits have coordinating punches! Yes! No fussy-cutting on these little tags...they came together in minutes, just stamping the pineapples and pear and punching them out.

Aren't those the cutest?

I fell in love with the pear 💗

And then there's the ribbon:

I'm a sucker for stripes, so mixing my favorite color (Lemon Lime Twist) with stripes on a 3/8" ribbon...I'm a goner! Had to order several rolls of this--my card club attendees may get sick of it! Unless I just decide to hoard it all for myself. 😉

Are You Ready for a Sneak Peek?

This was one of our Make-and-Takes:

I LOVE this Silver Mini Gable Box! And the dressing up that we gave it made me love it more! This beautiful Designer Series Paper, Sweet Soiree, has lovely silver details and gorgeous colors.

Taking a 2" x 12" strip of the DSP, we were supposed to wrap it around the box. But I cut mine to fit each side, and I love how it came out.

We stamped the tag using the Cake Soiree set and Old Olive and Berry Burst inks. Then we punched it out with a 1-3/4" Circle Punch and added some of the new Silver Bakers Twine (it's white twine with a thread of silver woven through it) and tied it all up with new Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon (luscious!).

These gable boxes come 12 to a bag for just $8.00. They are 4" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2", and are food safe. I can't wait to make some little gifts for my friends and family!

A Musical Christmas

Continuing the sharing of my November Christmas Card Class, here is the last of the cards we made:

Such a pretty card in black and white. Kudos to Mary Fish and Dawn Olchefske for the inspiration.

Our base is Thick Whisper White cardstock with a skinny layer of Basic Black covered by a layer of Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper. Then the fun begins...

We stamped the drummer boy from Musical Season in Tuxedo Black ink and cut him out with the coordinating Musical Instruments Framelits Dies. Then we cut him again using Smoky Slate cardstock and layered them on a Basic Black circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Before using Dimensionals to add this to the front of the card, we scrunched up some Gold Metallic Thread for behind the circle.

The sentiment was stamped on Basic Black using Versamark ink, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder, then added to the card with Dimensionals.

Serene Christmas

It's Day 4 of my Christmas cards, and today we'll step into a serene forest:

Ahhh, lovely...Lovely as a Tree, that is! Yes, that old stand-by makes a perfect Christmas tree, doesn't it?

The base of this card was Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut 4-1/4" x 11", and scored at 5-1/2". Then we took a piece of Whisper White, cut 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", ran it through the Big Shot with the Woodland Embossing Folder, and adhered it to cover the entire front of the card.

Our tree was stamped in Smoky Slate, and we added "ornaments" (some thought they looked like pine cones) using the Painted Harvest set with Basic Gray ink.

The strip with the tree was adhered to a piece of Champagne Foil and added to the front of the card.

We finished by stamping "peace" from Christmas Quilt, cutting it out with the Layering Ovals framelits, and adding it to a layer of Champagne Foil cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits.

So pretty and peaceful...
