An Epic Day

I'm so in love with the Magical Day stamps and the Myths and Magic Suite!

The Magical Day stamps include mermaids, dragons, unicorns, a wizard and a knight.  Just what you need to make your own castle scene.  So how did I do it?

I started with the castle wall.  Easy peasy with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder; I pounced some Smoky Slate ink directly from the ink pad to the raised side of the folder, placed the Smoky Slate cardstock inside and gave it a trip through the Big Shot.  It looks so real!

But wait!  That window!  I knew the retired label punch would be perfect, but it was too long.  So I just snipped along one of the "seams" in the brick wall, punched the window, and carefully glued the wall back together.

Each image was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Stampin' Blends.  The coordinating Magical Mates Framelits dies make cutting them out super simple!

And look at that pretty grass and vine to Rapunzel's window--that's the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper cut with the framelits.

The sentiment is an "original" .  I took the "Wishing You a Lovely Day" from Lovely Wishes, and masked the "lovely".  Then I carefully masked everything but the "N" in "wishing" and stamped it to make "AN"--whew!  Good thing these are photopolymer stamps that I can see through!

"EPIC" is made using individual letters from the Labeler Alphabet--with this set you can make ANY word!

My nephew is a total Disney fanatic and loved to play with Legos when he was little.  I thought this would be a perfect card to celebrate his birthday.

Are you sold yet on Magical Day?  I'll have more samples soon; I can't stop playing with it!

Lovely Wishes

Can you take one more sneak peek at something coming your way?  Lovely Wishes was a stamp set that I received while at Stampin' UP!'s On Stage last month.  And it really is a "lovely" set:

Hard to photograph, I made a tri-fold card, cutting my card base 4-1/4" x 11" and scoring it at 2-3/4" from each end.  This allows the card to fold to the center, and I stamped a panel to adhere to one side of the front to help hold the card closed.

Look at that pretty floral image...I stamped it in Old Olive, and then used the "second" stamp to stamp the colors, Pear Pizzazz and Peekaboo Peach.

I used the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to dress up the sides of my card, as well as the inside:

This was a thank you card for a customer, and I included a little gift, so I had to make an oversized envelope, also with Naturally Eclectic DSP:

Love my Envelope Punch Board!
