Only Two Days Left!

There's only two days left to scoop up your favorite Sale-A-Bration goodies.  What's your favorite?  Party Pandas?  Heartfelt Blooms?  Celebrate You Thinlits?

Well mine is, hands down, Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper!  This gorgeous paper has four designs, all with foiled accents, and is a wonderful, heavier weight cardstock.  Look what I made with it:

I hadn't used the leaf design yet, so I made a set of thank you cards.  So pretty!

Each card has the leaf design, brayered with color in an ombre effect, and mounted to Whisper White, then on to either Sweet Sugarplum or Peekaboo Peach (these two colors, along with Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy are the retiring in-colors, and will be gone after May 31st!  If you love these colors, stock up now!)

Back to my cards:

Once colored, I added the Whisper White Metallic Edge Ribbon.  Wait!  Did I say Whisper White?  Yes - but on the two cards above I colored the ribbon with my Stampin' Blends!  Light Rich Razzleberry for one and Light Pumpkin Pie for the second.  They came out so lovely!

"Thank you" from Eclectic Expressions (a FREE Sale-a-Bration set) was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.  Then I stamped the "splat" from the same set using Peekaboo Peach or Sweet Sugarplum, cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, and layered it on a Silver Foil oval, cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits.

And each card was finished with some Gold Foil dragonflies, cut with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

Haven't ordered your Springtime Foils paper yet?  Don't delay!  You only have until tomorrow at 10:00 p.m. to get it.  You won't be sorry...unless you miss out!

More Springtime Foils Coloring Fun

I shared a spring card the other day, where I sponged color over the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper, a FREE Sale-a-Bration offering.  And I liked it so much, I decided to play with a few other colors:

Wowsers!  Isn't that gorgeous?  This fabulous paper is so pretty with all the patterns and foiled designs.  Then add some color, and POP!  Magic!

I used the same layout as the card from the other day, but this time used Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist to make a fun birthday card.  Let's take a closer look:

I sponged the colors over the DSP until all the white was gone.  The silver stripes were unaffected by the coloring, and shine brightly.  The strip of DSP is attached to a layer of Lemon Lime Twist, and then adhered to the card base of Bermuda Bay.

The sentiment is from another FREE Sale-a-Bration offering, Eclectic Expressions.  Stamped in Bermuda Bay and trimmed with the Triple Banner Punch, I also adhered a strip of Lemon Lime Twist under the words.  The banner is then added to a layer of Lemon Lime for some extra color.

Stars were cut from Silver Foil sheets, and the final embellishment are the Bermuda Bay Blends-colored Rhinestones.  It all makes a sparkly, special birthday card!

Eclectic Expressions - WWC157

Sale-a-Bration is still going strong, and on Friday, February 16th, there will be a few more FREE offerings, with a qualifying purchase.  As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I was able to preorder some of the products, and I got a chance to play with the new Eclectic Expressions stamp set.  Take a look:

Wow!  What fun!  And I got to use my Stamparatus at the same time!  Double the fun!  (Too many exclamation points?)  And this card, being a birthday card, fits the bill for the Watercooler Wednesday challenge, WWC157

Eclectic Expressions is an "eclectic" collection of mix-and-match stamps that create fun backgrounds.  Here, I took the textured circle and, using the "hinge technique" with my Stamparatus, stamped the circles in Lemon Lime Twist, Rich Razzleberry and Peekaboo Peach.  I added the lines in Island Indigo.  The final step was stamping the dots using Versamark ink and heat embossing with Copper embossing powder.

This strip was adhered to a slightly larger piece of Copper Foil, from which I previously cut the copper stars (using the Wood Crate Framelits and the Popcorn Box Thinlits).

The card base is Rich Razzleberry, with a thin layer of Peekaboo Peach.  The top layer is Lemon Lime Twist, embossed with the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder.

Happy Birthday was stamped in Rich Razzleberry and became a "flag" with the Triple Banner Punch.

Fun !!!

Eclectic Expressions can be yours starting Friday, with a $50 order.
