Have you seen this OnLine Exclusive bundle, Poppin' By? Now those of you who know me know I don't usually fall for whimsical stamp sets. I never seem to be able to find a use for them. But every now and then...

And that time is NOW! When I first saw this set I thought I'd pass. But then I got to thinking, and saw a few samples, and it won me over. Look:

EEK! Too cute! A glasses-wearing, popcorn bucket with shoes? Oh yeah...I'm in!

This adorable set comes with the popcorn bucket stamp along with three popped corn stamps (with faces!) and a few greetings. But it was the dies that really got me - those glasses! The shoes! And dies to cut popcorn! But there's more - a filmstrip that can be added to make a great gift for the movie lover. Just perfect!

I chose the Beautiful Bokeh designer paper for my card - doesn't it resemble popcorn? And the Nested Essentials dies cut the white rectangle for the greeting.

I cut the popcorn with a die (that has an insert to add some extra texture) then sponged the pieces with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry to add "butter".

This layout was inspired by an unknown demonstrator - I saw a photo of samples from the Stampin' UP! Achiever's trip to Disney World, and CASEd it, changing the background papers and the popcorn.

I've been playing with this set all day, and can't wait to show you my grandson's birthday card...but you'll have to wait until I've given it to him in two weeks.
