Mediterranean Blooms, Again

Once I pulled out the Mediterranean Blooms designer paper last week to create this card, I decided I needed to make another.  But I wanted to use the oranges instead of the lemons, and this happened:

This card was fun to create!

I picked the patterned paper with the orange blossoms for the side piece, as they matched the larger blossoms on the oranges.  Then I took a piece of Basic White to make up the rest of the front and stamped the diamond image from Citrus Blooms across the bottom.  I found it very easy to get it straight by drawing a pencil line and then lining up the lines in the stamp (and erasing the pencil when I was done).  I love the added pattern!

Then it was time to cut the oranges image - easy peasy with the coordinating Citrus Blooms dies!  I even cut an extra orange blossom for an embellishment.

A few Blooming Pearls and I was done!  So pretty!

I don't often cut images from designer paper (I kinda feel like it's cheating when I don't stamp and color the images) but sometimes the pictures are so pretty I feel guilty not using them!

How about you?  Do you always stamp your images, or do you happily use ephemera or die-cut images from designer paper?  Inquiring minds want to know!
