I'm almost done sharing cards using Choose Happy, a very versatile stamp set from the 2024-25 Annual Catalog (which is going bye-bye next month!). This little set is perfect for so many occasions, with lots of words for celebrations, seasons, and just for having fun. Plus there are many small images to go along with whatever you want to celebrate!
My card today is one of my favorites this week. Using some scraps sitting on my desk ended up making a really cute card - tell me if you agree:
I didn't have an "occasion" in mind when I made this; I just pulled a piece of designer paper (Brights 6" x 6" DSP), a white "frame" and a strip of Basic White, and got playing.
I started with the strip of Basic White, stamping the flowers and the little bee, and coloring them with Blends. But it was pretty stark! A Balmy Blue Blend to the rescue - I just colored the whole piece! And then I added the greeting with two words from the stamp set.
But what to do next? I had the yellow patterned paper and cut it slightly to fit under that white frame (a leftover cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies - it's been sitting around for quite a while, and deserved to become a card!).
I realized the now-Balmy Blue panel needed a little contrast, so I added a skinny black frame.
But before I put it all together, I realized I had some cute dies - Spring is in the Air, a Paper Pumpkin add-on for January, February and March, and it cuts some cute little honeycombs. So I popped a few on the page below my center panel.
The dies also create some cute little bees, so I added a few for the inside of the card.
I finished it all with some Glossy Dots in Daffodil Delight for the flower centers. LOVE!
Check out Choose Happy - it's a great little set for your crafting fun!
