Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop

IWacky Watercooler First Anniversary Blog Hop

I am so (SOOO!) excited to be participating in my very first blog hop!  If you just joined me from  Marsha's blog, I thank you for finding your way to mine!  Aren't her samples just super?  <LOVE>

Follow along our hop by clicking on the links below;  and if you're "hopping" on board starting here, just follow all the way around and you'll end up back here.  Thanks so much for joining us!

This is the first anniversary of the Wacky Watercooler Group Blog Hop.  In honor of that, we will be showcasing "anniversary" items; and since Stampin' UP has a July special (buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper, get one FREE!), I decided to incorporate DSP into my projects.

First up:  my anniversary card.

This sweet card uses the Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper, along with several new goodies from our 2014-15 Inspire, Create and Share Catalog.  The bright colors include Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.  What's hard to see is the embossed ampersand:

This was embossed into the Designer Series Paper; then the letters were cut using the new Little Letters Framelits.  The piece of DSP is popped up on Dimensionals so the "MR" and "MRS" show through to the second layer of Daffodil Delight (embossed with Perfect Polka Dots).

The sentiment, stamped in Melon Mambo is from A Dozen Thoughts, and is cut out with the arrow framelit included in the Label Card Framelit set.  A little bling (Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with Blendabilities alcohol markers) are randomly placed to give it some shine.

And of course, an envelope:
The Envelope Punch Board makes it so easy!

Now every anniversary card needs a little present to go along with it, don't you agree?   I cut one of our Tag A Bag gift boxes down in size to create a perfect little package--just the right size for a nice pair of diamond earrings?

The sides of the box are covered in the same Sweet Taffy DSP as the card; new Daffodil Delight 1/4" Cotton Ribbon holds the plastic sleeve in place, and the top is decorated with a flower made from the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and leaves cut from the Bird Punch.

The tag is stamped with a new set--Sumthin' Sumpthin'.  CUTE!

Thanks for visiting; I hope you enjoyed my projects (please feel free to leave a comment).  Time to move on; click on "next" and fly over to see what Kath has to show you!

Hi Priscilla, I'm so glad you've joined the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop and welcome you to our 1st Anniversary celebration. I hope you'll be part of the "gang" for many blog hops to come. The colours in your card are so happy. I especially like the way you've cut out the Mr and Mrs using the Little Letters thinlits. Aren't they fun? I really love that box and flower but I'd change the tag. If that box holds a pair of diamond earrings, I am sure the tag should read "Woo Hoo". Thanks so much for sharing.
