Be Bold

I love the new Dressed to Impress suite of products from Stampin' UP!  With feminine images, bright colors and fun sentiments in bold fonts, these stamps are sure to make any girl happy.

How fun is that?

This was one of the cards we made at my last Card Club, and they turned out so cute!  The predominant color is Lovely Lipstick, which is the shade of the wonderful background designer series paper in the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper.  This paper is a FREE Sale-a-Bration offering with a qualifying purchase, and it's just gorgeous!

Then there's that frame - the lovely Heirloom Frames and embossing folders creates a look that sets off any feature.  The rose at the top of the frame is included in the Dressed to Impress stamps and is easily cut out with the coordinating All Dressed Up dies.  As is the lipstick:

Stamped and colored with Stampin' Blends in Smoky Slate and Lovely Lipstick, it's a cinch to cut out with the die.

A snip of the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and some glitter enamel dots finish off this card, perfect for my daughter, who loves bold lipsticks!

All products are available now; check out the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration offerings today!

What's a Meerkat?

So this is a new concept for me...Meerkats.  I had never heard of these cute little creatures until I attended OnStage in November.  And there they were, all over the place.  Not real ones, mind you, but these cute little drawn animals.

And now you can get your own meerkats for FREE!  That's right, during Sale-A-Bration, you can choose (with a qualifying purchase) a stamp set full of these guys.  Take a look:

Bonanza Baby Card

I am in love with the little critters from the Bonanza Buddies set!  ðŸ’™

This suite of products is billed as a birthday set, but I had something else in mind.  Today is my niece's baby shower, and I had an idea in mind.

Isn't that cute?

This card is large - 4-1/2" x 6".

The card base of Whisper White cardstock was sponged -- the clouds were sponged using Balmy Blue ink and a template I made from a scalloped circle punch.  I sponged the "grass" using Call Me Clover ink, and then stamped a few blades of grass using the Nature's Beauty set.  And I stamped a few trees from the Snow Front set.  I also needed a perch for my toucan, so a bough from Colorful Seasons fit the bill.  This was all done within the "frame" of the card--a piece of the Birthday Bonanza designer series paper adhered to a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and a frame cut using the Heirloom frames dies; this was mounted over my scenery using Dimensionals.

The lion, koala and toucan were stamped and cut out using the Bonanza dies.

I stamped Welcome from Animal Outing and punched two holes in the side, threading and knotting a piece of Linen Thread.

The banner was cut with the dies, and I stamped and punched the letters using the now-retired Labeler Alphabet.

And my little koala and lion were added, looking like they are holding the banner.

Cute?  I think so!

Detailed Hearts

I mentioned the other day that I'm really not a pink/red Valentines Day girl.  But that doesn't mean I don't like Valentines.  Here's one I created in alternative colors:

Yes, two of the same card in two different color schemes:  Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove or Seaside Spray with Night of Navy - which is your favorite?

I started with the hearts - cutting them with the Detailed Hearts dies.  These are so pretty and so delicate; AND they nearly fill the entire page with love!

I mounted the hearts to a piece of Whisper White that had been embossed with the Scripty embossing folder.

Look at that luscious bow!  The Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon is a total joy to work with!  It's wrapped around the the double layers on the card.

And of course, I had to do one in Seaside Spray too:

Then there's that greeting - from the Peaceful Poppies stamp set and cut out with the Painted Labels dies.  One is stamped in Seaside Spray, the other in Grapefruit Grove.

The sentiment label is mounted on a circle, also cut with the Painted Labels dies, and adhered with Dimensionals over the ribbon.

Not a pink/red heart person?  Don't overlook this fabulous die!  Detailed Hearts will make your Valentines very special!
