Treat Packaging, Day 2

Do you have the Gift Bag Punch Board?  Look what I made:

These adorable little bags hold small treats for holiday gifting (mine has Lindor Truffle candies in them).  Each is created using the Gift Bag Punch Board using the "small" size with Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper.  They are easy to create, fun to decorate, and a happy surprise to receive.

Let's take a closer look:

After creating and filling the bag, I cut some of the houses from the Hometown Greetings Edgelits dies using Basic Black cardstock.  I just trimmed to fit the front of the bag and adhered with Tear and Tape adhesive and some Multipurpose Glue. 

Here's another using Whisper White houses.  The sentiment (Musical Season) was stamped and embossed using Silver Embossing powder. 

Want a more formal look?  Add a topper cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and a pretty bow, using the Bow Builder Punch for a "tuxedo" bag.  Here I embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder.

Or how about a musical version?  Just cut the horn with Gold Foil and the Musical Instruments Framelits dies and clip with a Gold Library Clip.

Treat Packaging, Day 1

Do you give little treats to friends, family, office co-workers or neighbors?  I have a few ideas that I'll share with you over the next few days for inexpensive treat-gifting.

Today's an easy one:

Simply wrap a movie-size box of candy and decorate!  What could be faster?

For this box of Junior Mints (one of my favorite movie treats!), I measured the length of the box, cut a piece of Emerald Envy cardstock to that length and wrapped the box.  I punched two small holes in the front and back of one end of the cardstock so I could feed a piece of Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon through; once done, I slid the box of Junior Mints inside (catching the ribbon with the bottom of the box) and tied the ribbon in a bow.  That way, when the recipient pulls the ribbon, out pops the box of candy!

Next on to the decorating:

The Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder.  And ornaments from Carols of Christmas were stamped (Emerald Envy, Cherry Cobbler and Lemon Lime Twist) and cut with the coordinating Card Front Builder Dies.  I hand drew a short line for "hanging" the ornaments, then adhered them using Mini Dimensionals.

I made several of these for a local craft fair; someone is going to be very happy when these are opened!

Lovely Wishes

Can you take one more sneak peek at something coming your way?  Lovely Wishes was a stamp set that I received while at Stampin' UP!'s On Stage last month.  And it really is a "lovely" set:

Hard to photograph, I made a tri-fold card, cutting my card base 4-1/4" x 11" and scoring it at 2-3/4" from each end.  This allows the card to fold to the center, and I stamped a panel to adhere to one side of the front to help hold the card closed.

Look at that pretty floral image...I stamped it in Old Olive, and then used the "second" stamp to stamp the colors, Pear Pizzazz and Peekaboo Peach.

I used the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to dress up the sides of my card, as well as the inside:

This was a thank you card for a customer, and I included a little gift, so I had to make an oversized envelope, also with Naturally Eclectic DSP:

Stamparatus Reservations Open Tomorrow!

It's coming!


Yes, the Stamparatus is coming soon, and pre-orders are being accepted starting tomorrow, December 5th.

If you've been watching the Stampin' UP! news, you saw that the initial reservation period closed in just 15 minutes!  I guess that tells us that this new product is very desirable!

So Stampin' UP! changed the reservation plan, and will take reservations on Tuesday, continuing through the end of December (December 30th).  They will begin to ship March 19; although you need a credit card when you reserve yours, it won't be charged until it's ready to ship--and you'll get a notice so you can still cancel before it charges.

They will ship first come, first served, so if you want one, don't delay!  One to a customer.

Stamparatus will be available in the 2018 Annual Catalog, beginning in May, so if you decide to wait, you'll have plenty of opportunity to get one later.
