Heading to the Finish Line

Sale-a-Bration comes to an end on Sunday.  Have you gotten everything on your wish list?  I'm having such a good time with all the patterned paper, FREE with a qualifying purchase.  Here's another sample:

This card was one from my Cards-by-Mail class this month, and highlights the FREE Flower & Field Designer Series Paper.  I LOVE this particular piece of paper, although there are 12 patterns to love!

Look at the beautiful colors and the stylized flowers - SO pretty!

The patterned paper is mounted on a skinny Basic Black layer, which is on top of a Basic White layer embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder (my new favorite folder!).  A simple greeting (from Here's a Card) on a Tasteful Label and a few Matte Black Dots finish it off.

Be sure to complete your order prior to Sunday night in order to pick up this pretty paper!  Because once it's gone, it's gone for good!

Understated Sympathy

I've been making a group of cards for a friend to use as gifts, and she requested some sympathy cards.  I saw one on Pinterest that I really liked, and then promptly lost it.  But I remembered the basic layout, and decided to try to recreate it, probably with my own spin on it.

Serene and understated.  I love it!  And it seems to be just the kind of card I would send to someone who has experienced a loss.

Simple - All white cardstock, the Stitched Nested Label dies, the Painted Poppies stamp for the flower, and Here's a Card for the greeting.

After stamping the greeting on the Whisper White layer, I embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder; it makes it look like a linen layer.

The poppies were colored with Stampin' Blends, and the layer popped up on Dimensionals

Sometimes simple is perfect!
