A Stampin' UP! Tote

I like to send my customers a "little somethin' somethin'" and a hand-made card when they place an order with me.  And when I saw what Liz Shannon had done with the Notes & Totes dies, I knew I had to copy it.

GAK!  It's a Stampin' UP! tote bag!

When I attended the OnStage convention in March, demonstrators were given a black tote bag.  It wasn't exactly like this, but close enough.

Then I took the stamps and dies from Crafting With You (on the Last Chance List!) to create a thank you card for crafters!

I love this little tote!  And it can be used as a gift card holder, or, as used here, to hold other little items.

And check out the background!  That is the new Corrugated embossing folder - so fun!

After creating and adhering the tote to the card front, I added the Cut & Emboss machine, a pair of Paper Snips, some bakers twine (in two colors - Strawberry Slush and Summer Splash) and the Paper Trimmer, all stamped/cut with Crafting With You bundle.

Notes & Totes will be available when the 2025-26 Annual Catalog goes live, May 6th.  Be sure to pick up your bundle; you are sure to have a blast creating with it!

And be sure to check out the Last Chance List - Crafting With You will be retiring by May 6th and you won't want to miss out!

A Book and a Gift Card

For the Books is a lovely little stamp set, kinda hidden on page 52 of the January - April 2025 Mini Catalog.  I only noticed it because one of the dies - the BIG book - caught my attention.  And we are a family of readers, so I did a double-take and picked up the bundle.

I was trying to think of a card I could make focusing on the large book from the die, and here's what I came up with:

I have to admit...I needed to get a little creative with this one.  I wanted to use the book, but didn't know where I was going with it.  My mind was racing around greetings I could use (in my opinion, the stamp set is a little limited in the greetings category, although all the books are fun!), and I perused my stash of stamps until I came up with one from Crafting with You - "Life is better when you're crafting".  But I could change that...

Mini Alphabet dies to the rescue!  And since I needed to cut out the word "reading", and since the Mini Alphabet die is just one big die with ALL the letters, I thought, how about incorporating the entire alphabet?  And that's what I did.

Somehow I got ALL the letters to fit (although, yes, Q-R-S is a little tight 😡) but I was able to place them even with the Radiating Stitches die-cut in the middle.

Although you won't believe me from these photos, the colors are Lost Lagoon and Soft Sea Foam (for the letters).  And it's such a pretty color combo!  Then I added the book cut with the For the Books dies in Pretty Peacock.

I am totally in love with that tassel! One of the dies in the set; so cute!

But wait!  There's more:

I turned this card into a gift card holder.  Of course when I actually gift it, there will be a Barnes and Noble gift card inside (not a Starbucks - but hey, it was the only used up gift card I had 😁).

I can't wait to gift this one...someone's going to have fun picking out their next read!

Crafting with You

One of my favorite cards from this month's card club was one that we made using the Crafting With You Bundle.  Although not originally on my radar, this set grew on me as I saw samples, and I decided to order it.  And I'm so glad I did!

This set (and the dies) is loaded with fun images, and includes something for nearly every crafter.  Take this sample, one that is perfect for embroidery lovers.

The card was also used as a technique card, as we used markers to color the floral image for the main focal point.  Once stamped, it was cut with the embroidery hoop (we cut it twice, once in Basic White and again in Pecan Pie) and added it to the card front.

I LOVE the scissors and the basket of threads!  The dies are so detailed - one die cuts the spools, and another cuts the thread, including embossed "threads"!  So cute!

A simple white-on-white background with Tahitian Tide, Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lolly strips pulls it all together.

I'm SO glad I purchased Crafting with You!  You will love it too!
