Poppin' UP!

Here's a new-to-me fun fold where you get to show off both sides of the beautiful designer series papers.

I was so happy to see that Terrific Toadstools is going to be carried over to the new 2025-26 Annual Catalog!  So I decided to use the stamps and coordinating punch to make this card.  AND...I happened to have some of the Toadstool Gardens designer paper left over from Sale-a-Bration.

I started with a piece of the designer paper, cut to 5-1/2" x 5-3/4", and scored 2" from the top.  This is important because when you fold and turn your paper over you want the pattern to be going in the right direction.  This gave me a Fresh Freesia striped design on the top and the cute little mushroom pattern on the bottom.

The designer paper was adhered to a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, leaving a little border at the top and bottom.

Then I added a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4-1/4" x 6" and folded in half at 3".

So when your card is done, the bottom flap folds up over the bottom section of the white card, and the top of the white card folds down over the patterned paper.

Then it's time to decorate!

I took a 3" x 4-1/8" piece of Fresh Freesia and embossed it with the Exposed Brick embossing folder.  I stamped the "dirt" from the Terrific Toadstools set in Pecan Pie on Pecan Pie cardstock and fussy-cut it, adhering it to the bottom of the embossed piece.

The toadstools were stamped, punched or fussy-cut and adhered with Dimensionals.

I can't wait to try this with other pieces of DSP - it's always so hard for me to choose which side to show (since it's double-sided paper!), and with this technique I don't have to choose!  Makes me happy!

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration, Day 2

Time is running out, folks!  You won't be able to pick up a FREE Sale-a-Bration item in 10 days!  So to tempt you, just a bit, I'm showcasing many of the FREE products available with a qualifying purchase through February 28.

Today I have two products on one card - the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper and the Brushed Brass Butterflies:

I chose my color palette from the back of the FREE  Toadstool Gardens package.  Did you know that Stampin' UP! lists the colors of the patterned paper there?  It really helps when you are coming up with coordinating colors to go with your DSP.

So I chose Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade, with a touch of Pecan Pie.

Although many of the patterns in the paper pack have images of mushrooms and leaves, along with ladybugs and snails, the back sides have different patterns, like the one with all the dots here.

I stamped my toadstools (from the coordinating stamp set, Terrific Toadstools) and punched them out with the coordinating punch.  A little "ripped" dirt and it all came together!

And then, there are those butterflies!  The finishing touch also came FREE.  The Brushed Brass Butterflies are now part of Sale-a-Bration goodies.  Great value and cute cards!  Win Win!

Sale-a-Bration ends February 28, so be sure to pick up your FREE items soon!  To see the newly added items, click here.

Terrific Toadstools

Have you ever used EVERY stamp in a set on one card?

I don't think I ever have, but this one comes close.  We made it at my monthly card class last weekend, and the attendees did a great job passing the stamps from Terrific Toadstools and ink pads around the table.  Take a look at the fun-fold card we made:

You can see 9 of the stamps here - the "ground", the three toadstools and the little ladybug (which is actually a bug with a tiny mushroom that we fussy-cut on it's back).

And did you catch that patterned paper?  That is the FREE Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper - a fun pack of 48 sheets of paper that coordinate with the Terrific Toadstool bundle (stamps and punch).  The paper is SO cheery, in Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Fresh Freesia and Early Espresso--you'll have tons of options for color schemes for your cards!

And once the flaps are open:

More stamps from the set!  We used 12 of the 16 stamps!  Whew!

Terrific Toadstools is great for guy cards too (see my other sample here).  Pick up the bundle and a few packs of coordinating cardstock, and you can get the Toadstool Gardens paper pack for FREE (make a $60 purchase and choose one of several FREE products from the Sale-a-Bration brochure while supplies last).
