Celebrating Sale-a-Bration, Day 5

Still on a roll with all the Sale-a-Bration products!  Since SAB is coming to an end at the end of the month, I've been featuring many of the FREE products available during this special time of the Stampin' UP! year, when every $60 purchase enables you to choose a FREE item of your choice!

Today I've made a card almost entirely out of SAB products.

There are 3 FREE items here:  Starstruck embossing folder, Fruit Salad designer paper and (this one is not to be believed!) Alphabet A La Mode dies!  Yes!  FREE alphabet dies!

I started with two pieces of the Fruit Salad DSP.  Although the front sides of the pages in this pack feature fruits, the back sides of many have patterns, like these polka dot and red patterns.  Fun to mix and match!

Then I took a piece of Basic White, ran it through my Cut & Emboss machine with the FREE Starstruck embossing folder, and wrapped it in ribbon.

And then those dies!  Such a classic letter shape!  Just a piece of Adhesive Sheet on the back help to easily adhere them to all your projects.

Sale-a-Bration will be ending soon.  So if you haven't picked up your FREE products, don't wait!  I'd hate for you to miss out!  And be sure to check out these additional FREE products!

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration

Sale-a-Bration, Stampin' UP!'s annual reward-with-purchase event is coming to an end.  So this week I'll be featuring many of the FREE products you can receive with a qualifying $60 purchase.

Starting with the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper, which is SO cute!

Have you ever followed a sketch for a card?  I saw this sketch:

and thought it would be a fun card to duplicate.  I wasn't quite sure what size the little squares are, but since the two layers had measurements, I knew I could figure it out.  And I found that the Stylish Shapes smallest square die was a perfect fit!

I took 6 pieces of the Fruit Salad DSP and cut out the tiny squares, fitting them onto a white layer as shown in the sketch.

The fruits in the upper left corner were fussy-cut and layered in the blank space.  And then I needed a greeting.

But since this is a thank you card for a customer order, I reached for My Small Business and found the sweet sentiment, perfect with all the fruits, don't you think?

And I used another FREE Sale-a-Bration product - the Happy Labels Punch.  It's a great way to create labels in a variety of sizes, and it's FREE until month end.

If you've got anything on your Wish List, this is the best time of year to purchase.  With each $60 order, you will get to choose one of the wonderful Sale-a-Bration offerings FREE!  And here's a link to the newly added products that you can pick up.  Check it out and don't miss out - Sale-a-Bration ends at the end of the month!

Fruit Salad

One of the FREE Sale-a-Bration products available with a qualifying order of $60 is the Fruit Salad 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

When I first saw this, I thought, "meh"...not really a fan.  But then I saw a few samples and decided I needed to give it a go, and here is the result:

 Pretty cute, yes?

Each page of the collection features different fruits - apples, pears, bananas, cantaloupes, citrus, kiwis and pineapples.  There's also a "mixed fruit" page.

So I sat down and started some fussy-cutting, cutting out each of the fruits (one per page--I'm not crazy! 😂)

Then I had to decide what to do with them all, and a card was born.

I needed a fruit basket in which to keep all these fruits!  And so I made one.  Simple - just a rectangle of Pecan Pie with the sides trimmed on a diagonal and run through my trusty Cut & Emboss machine with the Cane embossing folder.  Then I used the brand new Everyday Arches (what a terrific set!) to make a handle.

And then the fun began - trying to squish in all my fruits and still be able to see them all!

Once in place I added my full basket to a 4-7/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Floral Delight patterned paper, and then adhered it all to a 5" x 10" (scored in the middle) piece of Pecan Pie.

So sweet!  And now that I've played with the different fruits I'm starting to get ideas for my next card.

Fruit Salad can be yours with a $60 purchase of any Stampin' UP! products.  Place your order today and you'll be on your way to creating your own fruit basket!
