I just got my box of new products from the September - December Mini Catalog, and had a little play time. I am a sucker for word/phrase dies so the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder was right up my alley.
I wanted to use the Need for Tweed designer paper, so my colors (Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler) were chosen from that. The patterned paper was applied to the Old Olive card base, and then I started building my layers.
Next came a piece of Cherry Cobbler, which was sent through my Cut & Emboss machine inside the Christmas Words Collage Embossing Folder. I trimmed it down to fit my card, so only about 1/2 of the words appear. I wanted a little gold border, so I pulled out my now-retired Scalloped Contours dies and cut some Gold Foil.
I also cut the frame using my "vintage" Deckled Rectangles dies (I hate that these have retired!) And then it was time for some fun.
I inked up the inside of my Hybrid Embossing Folder, added in the coordinating die and some Basic Beige cardstock and ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine. This gave me the greeting, cut, embossed and outlined in Cherry Cobbler ink. Such a cool way to use this Hybrid Embossing Folder!
So there is my first holiday card of the year!
The September - December Mini Catalog should be on its way to my current customers. If you would like a copy, please message me to find out how you can get your hands on one. The products will be available for purchase starting September 3rd.
Are you getting excited?
