Delightful Wishes

Here's another sneak peek of an upcoming suite of products, Floral Delight.

This fun-fold card features the stamps and designer paper in the suite, along with the Tiny Bee Trinkets.

The stamps include florals and greetings, along with a big "wishing" stamp.  (see the inside of my card below).

And the Floral Delight DSP is full of bright flowers in yellows - Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lolly, along with Peach Pie, Old Olive, Pool Party and Pecan Pie.  Very pretty!

My card is a fun-fold, but very easy to do.  Start with a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" cardstock, scored at 5-1/2.  Then on the card front, cut on the diagonal from the center fold to the bottom right corner, and save the piece you cut off.

You'll need a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP, which you will also cut on the diagonal, to add to your two triangles.  (Be aware of the pattern; you don't want to have one upside down!).

Adhere one piece to the front of the card, and flip the other piece over, adhering it to the other triangle you cut off the front.  Once done, adhere the  "free" triangle back over the front of the card (being careful to only use adhesive on the bottom).

From the inside, you can see the layered pieces.  And you can also see the large "wishing" stamp, along with one of the coordinating greetings.

Back to the front - I stamped one of the floral images (3-step stamping!) on Basic White and cut it with the Deckled Rectangle dies (which may now be sold out 😕).  And look at these tiny bees:

LOVE!

Delightful Wishes will be available on January 7th when the new January - April 2025 Mini Catalog comes out.  I think you're going to love it!

For the Books, Round 2

Last week I showed you card I made with a new set called For the Books.  See it here.

Today is my husband's birthday, and I originally bought this bundle (stamps and dies) because of him.  Jim is an avid reader (always has been), and he loves volunteering at our local library.  So when I needed to make his birthday card, I reached for this set:

I thought it would be fun to make a card that looks like a room in the house.  I stamped the piles of books, colored them with Stampin' Blends, and fussy-cut them, stacking them on a little shelf.

This large book is cut from a die in the bundle.  It cuts and embossed the details all at the same time.  And the "pages" (the white at the bottom of the book) is another die - so clever!  I added a candle (from the die set, Sent Silhouettes) because it's a birthday card.  And check out that fun tassel - created from one of the dies.

I had to fudge a little on the greeting - the stamp says "this one's for the books", but I masked out some of the words, substituting "another year" from a Paper Pumpkin stamp.

Happy Birthday, Jim!

And watch for For the Books, coming January 7th, with the release of the January - April 2025 Mini Catalog!

Spring Corners Sneak Peek!

How about a little sneak peek of an upcoming stamp/die bundle?

Spring Corners will be available through the OnLine Exclusives starting in January.

The stamp set has multiple phrases that wrap around the corners of your cards.  There are also some images (balloons, flowers, heart) that go along with the greetings.

And then there are the dies.

For this card I just used one die, the daisies.  It fits neatly in the corner of my card and really adds some splash!  I first used the die to cut the top layer of my card.  The I cut two more - one in Granny Apple Green and another in Daffodil Delight (both with Adhesive Sheets on the back).  Then I pulled the colored pieces and added them to the white layer, fitting them in to the cut-outs, like a mosaic.

There are several other dies in the set - 3 corner pieces as well as dies to cut some of the images in the stamp set.  It's really versatile and can be used for lots of occasions!

Watch for Spring Corners, coming soon...

A Book Tree

The new January - April 2025 Mini Catalog will be live before we know it, and I've just received my pre-order of fun stamps, dies, gorgeous paper and accessories.  But when I saw a card posted by Jo Weeden Melbourne using one of the new stamps I got, For the Books, I knew I just had to recreate it for my book club members:

How's that for using a stamp set in a different way?  Who would have thought that a stack of books could make a cute Christmas tree?

I stamped the books, masking the ones on the bottom and re-stamping them side by side.  The star at the top is from Decorative Trees (on the retiring list - get it before it's gone!).  Then I colored them all with Blends.

The greeting is from Reindeer Fun (another set soon to be retired) using Shy Shamrock ink.

And that shiny paper?  There is a reason I keep stuff in my stash long after it's no longer available - and now you are seeing why; this was from a pack of Red and Green Foil sheets, and I can't even tell you when it was in a catalog, it's been that long!  But it was the perfect "foil" (no pun intended) for a layer on my card.

The January - April 2025 Mini Catalog will be ready for your orders soon.  Need a catalog?  Just let me know.  I'd love to get one into your hands!
