Thought it might be time to think about the upcoming holidays...
I know what you're thinking - REALLY?
Well, with the upcoming release of the August - December 2020 Mini Catalog, I was able to preorder some of the new products that will be making their debut starting August 3rd. And one of the first things I ordered and decided to play with is the
Red and Green Foil Sheets. Look:
I also got the
Stitched Triangles dies, and once I got the paper, I couldn't resist putting them together.
This card uses another new product: the
Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock. In fact, this was used as the base for my triangles.
I cut 10 each of the red and green foil stitched triangles, and then adhered them to the Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock. A word of caution - I used
Multipurpose Liquid Glue (I wanted to be able to move the triangles slightly if needed) and it took FOREVER to dry. While I was placing more triangles, the ones I had already adhered kept sliding. 😠So if you decide to give this a try, you might want to use
Glue Dots or
Stampin' SEAL.
But I digress...
Once my triangles were all happily in their places, I ran the whole piece through my die cutting machine with the
Tasteful Textile embossing folder. And since I had an extra green "tree", I embossed that too.
The entire piece was added to my
Thick Whisper White card base, and I stamped my sentiment (from
Gift Wrapped) on a
Stitched Shapes oval.
Now you can see how shiny this foil is! Gorgeous! And my
Holiday Rhinestones were the perfect finishing touch!
