In the Woods Christmas

How about another Merry Monday?  I'm seriously getting all my holiday cards done WAY early!  ðŸ˜€

This is a pretty card, and not too hard to make.  I started by stamping the background trees from Winter Woods on Shimmery White cardstock using Versamark ink.  Then I heat embossed them with Clear embossing powder.

Then it was time for a little magic - I created a mask for the "hill" below the trees, and then used a brayer to add Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and finally Night of Navy inks.  This created a lake and a night sky behind the trees.  And since the trees were embossed, the ink was resisted, allowing the white trees to show.

The paper hill was cut using the In the Woods dies.  The greeting is from Gift Wrapped, and the Winter Woods tree was stamped and cut with the coordinating die, then popped up on Dimensionals.

I finished by sprinkling some Ice Stampin' Glitter on the tree.  This is such a serene card; just a perfect winter night!

Gift Wrapped

It's time for another Merry Monday, and today I have cute, easy card for you:

The new Gift Wrapped Bundle includes a stamp set with lots of bows, and a coordinating punch - and  you will save 10% when purchasing them together.

This card was produced quickly - I stamped the bow with Real Red ink, and punched it with the Bow Builder Punch.

The "ribbon" is just two strips of Real Red cardstock, embossed with the Subtle embossing folder, and crossed over the Plaid Tidings patterned paper.  The greeting was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink, and flagged with the Banners Pick-a-Punch.

I finished off my card with a few Red Rhinestones - what could be easier?

This may be my go-to Christmas card this year; it would be so easy to make duplicates!

Merry Monday

Thought it might be time to think about the upcoming holidays...

I know what you're thinking - REALLY?

Well, with the upcoming release of the August - December 2020 Mini Catalog, I was able to preorder some of the new products that will be making their debut starting August 3rd.  And one of the first things I ordered and decided to play with is the Red and Green Foil Sheets.  Look:

I also got the Stitched Triangles dies, and once I got the paper, I couldn't resist putting them together.

This card uses another new product:  the Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock.  In fact, this was used as the base for my triangles.

I cut 10 each of the red and green foil stitched triangles, and then adhered them to the Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock.  A word of caution - I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (I wanted to be able to move the triangles slightly if needed) and it took FOREVER to dry.  While I was placing more triangles, the ones I had already adhered kept sliding.  ðŸ˜    So if you decide to give this a try, you might want to use Glue Dots or Stampin' SEAL.

But I digress...

Once my triangles were all happily in their places, I ran the whole piece through my die cutting machine with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  And since I had an extra green "tree", I embossed that too.

The entire piece was added to my Thick Whisper White card base, and I stamped my sentiment (from Gift Wrapped) on a Stitched Shapes oval.

Now you can see how shiny this foil is!  Gorgeous!  And my Holiday Rhinestones were the perfect finishing touch!

New Mini Catalogs are on their way to you if you have placed an order with me in the last 6 months. I'm sure you'll find many new, fun items to help create your holiday cards - why not get a head start and begin working on them now?
