Lots of Moms

I've got lots of moms deserving of Mother's Day cards - my mom, my mother-in-law, my daughter, and my two wonderful daughters in law!  I shared one of my cards with you (here), and today I've got three cards for the girls:

Aren't they pretty?

I wrapped the cards in a "collar" of designer series paper; since these DSP stacks are retiring, I figured it's time to stop hoarding and USE these pretty papers.  So taking my cues from my daughters' favorite colors, I created three identical card in different hues.

Each card starts with a base of Thick Whisper White, and is wrapped in DSP (here Melon Mambo; the others are Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron).  They each have a panel in the matching color of card stock, with a Whisper White rectangle on top.

Flowers from Jar of Love were stamped in coordinating colors, cut with the matching Everyday Jars framelits, and were used to create a bouquet, wrapped in ribbon or Linen Thread.

The sentiment stamp is a retired one that just happened to perfectly fit in the opening at the bottom of the card (yes, I tend to keep many of my retired stamps), and each card was finished off with Enamel Shapes or Pearls along the top.

Pretty cards for some pretty wonderful moms!  My grandkids certainly are lucky to have moms like them, and I'm so fortunate to have these fabulous girls in my life!

Pretty Packaging

I've made up some card packets as thank you gifts to some friends who have recently provided meals when I was ill.  I really like the packaging of this one:

I placed two cards and envelopes in a Glassine Gift Bag and tied it with some Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon.

Jar of Love came in handy to make a little bouquet on the front.  I stamped the jar in Smoky Slate and cut it out with the matching Everyday Jars framelits.  Flowers were stamped in Peek-a-Boo Peach and Pool Party/Marina Mist, and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz or Lemon Lime Twist.

Doesn't this make a cute thank you gift?

A Nod to Mom

Mother's Day is nearly upon us, and I still can't get enough of the soon-to-be-released Crate Die.  So I decided to use it to make this:

Such a lovely crate of flowers!

I began with a wash of watercolor - Soft Sky ink with an Aquapainter made for a pretty, soft background.  Once this was dry, I began to build my crate of flowers.

Jar of Love (thankfully sticking around for another year, as it is one of my favorites!  But if you want to save 10% on the bundle, purchase it now--this disappears in the new catalog) makes a lovely bouquet.  I stamped Rich Razzleberry and Peek-a-Boo peach flowers, Pear Pizzazz and Lemon Lime Twist leaves, and Pool Party/Marina Mist or Powder Pink/Berry Burst mini flowers and cut everything out with the Everyday Jars framelits.

Teeny Tiny Wishes (also hangin' out for another catalog year) was punched with the Classic Label Punch to finish off my card.

And if you look closely, you'll see the Wink of Stella that I splashed on the flowers and bees.  So pretty.

Does this mean I don't have to send real flowers to my mom?  :)
